Soap lather for the National Hand Washing Week | Cleaning and maintenance management

The US Department of Labor has set up an online portal for federal contractors and subcontractors to confirm their compliance with the requirements of the annual grant program.

The portal provides a method for state contractors to certify annually that they have developed and maintained positive action programs for each facility or business unit. In addition, the portal provides a secure method for contractors who must undergo a compliance review to submit their Affirmative Action Program to the Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP).

"OFCCP's new online portal provides a mechanism to encourage greater business focus, removing barriers to opportunity and evaluating employment practices," said Jenny Yang, OFCCP director.

Affirmative action requirements help ensure that state contractor applicants and employees have equal job opportunities regardless of race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, corporate identity, gender, national origin, disability, or protected veteran status. Contractors under the jurisdiction of OFCCP who meet certain employee and contract dollar thresholds must develop and maintain positive action programs and certify compliance annually.

Federal entrepreneurs and subcontractors who are newly included in the affirmative action program can register on the portal from February 1, 2022 and certify there from March 31, 2022. 2022.
