Pennsylvania Homeowners: What To Do If Your Fridge Broke

Repair or replace your refrigerator in a snap.
Repair or replace your refrigerator in a snap. (Shutterstock)

Fall has arrived in Pennsylvania and we're enjoying cooking and baking all fall. This, of course, is the worst time any device goes down, especially your refrigerator.

However, if your fridge / freezer is too hot, too cold, or has stopped producing ice, you need to act quickly. Do you need to repair or replace your refrigerator? Here's how to choose.

Give it once

We know it sounds obvious, but sometimes the answer is just that! First things first, take a few minutes to make sure your refrigerator is plugged in and your circuit breaker hasn't tripped. Check any accessible fans that may be clogged with dirt (or a kid's toy!).

Once you've removed the obvious, there's probably not much you can do on your own. Even so, it's best to take out the old manual and see if there are any diagnostic tips.

Most refrigerators have a lifespan of 15 years. If your device is older or nearing that age, it is probably best to replace it, even if the fix is relatively small. It will certainly be the first in a long line.

For certain problems with older models, such as B. a defective water filter or ice machine, you can put them away and take them to a secondary location such as the basement or garage. Then you can buy a new one for everyday use.

If your refrigerator is new, check that it is under warranty before contacting customer service. It can be covered by the manufacturer who may have a specific protocol to fix it.

Look at the cost

Once you have decided to repair your model, you will receive an estimate of the repair cost. Compare this to the cost of a new device, but keep in mind that buying a new device will also reduce the chances of the old device being removed and disposed of.

You may also be thinking about the kitchen remodel that you moved. A new refrigerator is cheaper when it is part of a package. Some contractors even offer free kitchen remodeled refrigerators.

The pros and cons of cleaning children's ears

Cleaning your ears is something most people do without much thought . It's not uncommon for most people to stick a cotton swab in their ear to clean the wax off. Once you've done this, it can be interesting to know that you've done more harm than good to your ears. Most doctors do not recommend putting anything in your ear. This is especially true for the sensitive ears of children. Learning how to clean your children's ears can help prevent health problems .

The human ear is made up of four parts: the inner ear, the middle ear, the eardrum, and the outer ear. Whenever you are thinking of cleaning your children's ears, the focus should be on the outer ear. It is important to clean the outer ear or the easily accessible part. Helps keep your children's ears healthy while improving their hearing. It's also important to understand that wax is a natural occurrence and is not a sign of a diseased ear or health problem.

Clean your child's ears

It is important to clean your children's ears thoroughly to prevent damage. There is no need to clean your children's ears with cotton swabs every day. Clean only the outside with a towel or hand towel. Children rarely produce a lot of wax that needs to be cleaned every day. You need to understand that growing is part of the ears' natural process.

The ear produces enough wax that it needs and naturally removes it. As new wax forms, the tiny hairs on the ear will help drive out the old wax. The wax will usually come out unaided, allowing the ears to clean themselves.

Problems with ear cleaning

Using headphones to clean children's ears can be harmful. Instead of removing the wax, the swab can push the wax deeper into the small ear canal. In most cases, it is enough for small ears to remove the dirt from the outer ear. Some children produce thick, damp wax that often clogs their ears.

This can be uncomfortable for the child and it is important to clean the ears frequently. If your child has too much wax, you can loosen them with drops or take them to the doctor. A good ear cleaning program will protect a child's sensitive ears.

Common ear wax problems

Too much wax can affect a child's hearing by making them opaque. This can affect language development. It can also affect learning and behavior. Some children have a tendency to push headphones, fingers, or other objects deep into their ears to clear the blockage.

Unfortunately, this habit can damage the eardrum . Trying to clean a child's ears can damage the tiny bones that are essential for good hearing . Damage to the membrane may not heal effectively and cause long-term problems for the child.

What you need to clean your ears

Before cleaning your children's ears, it is important to have the right cleaning products . You will need a clean, soft cloth or towel and a cleaning solution or mineral oil. Be sure to use the solutions prescribed by your doctor. When you put the emollient solution in the ear, the hard wax becomes softer and easier to remove or clean.

Use the damp cloth to clean the outer ear and remove any visible dirt or wax. However, do not insert the cloth into the ear. If the child has just bathed, dry their ears by placing a towel under the child's head while tilting them. This will help remove any water that may have entered the ear.

You should understand that some situations may require the intervention of a doctor. Hardened wax can make your child feel very uncomfortable and should be taken to the doctor if the problem persists. You should take your child to the doctor to have the wax wash off.

If you notice any signs of an ear infection , such as pus or blood flowing out of the ear, see a doctor. You should also see a doctor if your child has an earache or a fever. Use only wax solutions prescribed by a doctor. If your child has anything in their ear, always see a doctor to have it removed.

Philadelphia restaurants to feed election workers on election day

PHILADELPHIA - Philadelphia restaurants give citizens a reason to vote on election day.

Downtown Taquería Mission is organizing a coalition of restaurants to encourage residents to become election officials by offering them a free meal that will be delivered to their polling station on election day.

Philadelphia County takes hundreds of workers to fill all of the polling stations. the

The Philadelphia City Commissioners Office typically opens more than 800 polling stations, but without enough help, many remain closed, resulting in longer queues, discouraged voters, and less turnout.

Mission Taquería works with Power the Polls, a national campaign that helps state and local governments manage voting apps and voter messages.

Registered voters can now register online here .

Once assigned to a polling station, those who registered through Mission Taquería's Fuel the Polls campaign will receive a free lunch at one of the participating restaurants.

Confirmed participants in this initiative include Oyster House, Middle Child, Martha, Mikes BBQ, Essen Bakery, Kalaya, Bing Bing Dim Sum / Cheu Noodle Bar, Laser Wolf and Bunny Hop, a culinary kitchen in West Philly. Other restaurants are expected to come to us as well.

Philadelphia expands indoor dining to 50% on Friday

PHILADELPHIA - The Philadelphia health commissioner announced good news for restaurants and diners on Tuesday.

Health Commissioner Dr. Thomas Farley said the city's restaurants could increase their indoor dining capacity on Friday.

On September 9, the city allowed the indoor dining room to resume with restrictions such as a 25% capacity limit.

But as of Friday, restaurants will be able to have 50% of their capacity indoors, Farley said.

The new capacity limits correspond to the current restrictions in Pennsylvania.

And under the governor's rules, restaurants that want to increase their capacity must self-certify under state and CDC guidelines in addition to city rules.

Indoor dining restrictions that are similar to or exceed federal restrictions for indoor dining.

Restrictions on eating indoors include:

  • Guests must wear masks when not seated at a table.
  • a capacity limit of 25%;
  • only four guests per table;
  • six feet of space between tables;
  • Without bar service, alcohol is only available in the same transaction as a meal.
  • Indoor meal orders will be final called at 23:00
  • Facilities must be closed before midnight;
  • Physical barriers, such as sneeze guards or partitions, are installed in restaurant kitchens, as well as at cash registers, restaurants, and food collection areas where it is difficult to get socially 6 feet apart
  • Employees are screened for symptoms before each shift and prevented from staying on site if they show symptoms of a coronavirus.
  • Employees must wear masks and face protection.

Any facility that does not comply with these restrictions will be closed.

"The decrease in the number of cases we see shows the success of our strategy," Farley said. "I said we would slowly and carefully lower our restrictions as the number of cases continued to decrease, and we are now. If people continue to follow our advice, I think we can relax the restrictions further."

Farley said there wasn't an exact number in the coronavirus data that would cause the city to suspend indoor activities. However, he said the city would consider shutting down the indoor dining room if the number of cases or the percentage of positive tests increases dramatically and the evidence suggests the increase is related to the indoor dining room.

Fifty-nine new cases of coronavirus were reported on Tuesday. However, the Ministry of Health also added 376 previously unidentified cases to the city's database.

The total number of cases since the pandemic began is now 36,887. The previously unidentified cases were added as a result of comparing data from the Philadelphia Department of Public Health and the Pennsylvania Department of Health. and they come from tests done March through August.

Another death was reported in Philadelphia. This brings the number of Philadelphia residents who succumbed to the virus to 1,801. Of the total of 1,801 deaths, 889, or 49 percent, were residents of long-term care facilities.

Top autumn cycling tips from James Witts

Covid-19 has shaken the world and still shows no sign that it is going anywhere. But a beacon in the form of a modest bicycle shines through the darkness. With public transport a potential vector of infection, one of the greatest inventions in history has re-emerged. Brompton, a London-based folding bike company, has quintupled online since April. Halfords benefited from a 23% increase in its share price and demand for one of Haynes Publishing's best-selling textbooks. - The bike book: increased by 566% when locked. This is great news for the physical and mental health of the population. So everything is fine ... almost. You see, while your shiny new steed is a matter of delight, its appeal is somewhat tarnished by the winter elements. Fortunately, a few simple tips can help you get through the next six months.

The bike book

The bike book

1 CLEAN AND CLASSIC

Whether you ride a hybrid bike, a Dutch bike, a mountain bike or an electric bike, you need to keep your pride and joy clean. This is not only for aesthetics, although everyone is excited about a shiny horse, but also to keep you and your bike rolling smoothly. In short, first wash your frame with a sponge and a bucket of water. Then spray your entire bike with a bike cleaner like Muc-Off or Fenwick. Leave on for a minute or two before scrubbing with a soft brush. (Don't use a kitchen sponge as the sharp green coating can scratch the paint.) Rinse your bike with clean water, dry it with an old rag, and finally apply chain lubricant to the chain and cassette (the sprockets of the Rear wheel).

2 PROTECTION AGAINST THE ELEMENTS

Wet roads + spinning wheels = muddy water pulling you and your outfit. The result? You are a wet mess. Fenders are the safest way to avoid that unsightly and uncomfortable look, and they're a breeze, especially when commuting. There are two main types of fenders: those for frames fitted with fender eyelets, called "fixed fenders", and those for frames without, called "clip-on fenders". They are suitable for all types of bicycles, including foldable ones.

3 LIGHTING THE STREET

Bike lights are essential (both for safety and legal reasons) to get through the dark winter months. In fact, they should be at the top of your accessories shopping list. Basically, bike lights fall into two camps: those that provide enough light to make sure you can see what to expect and those that are only visible to others. In other words, see or be seen! The former is more intended for driving on dark country roads. The latter are perfect for a busier city drive where the street lights already favor the vision. You can buy a perfectly suitable pair of Halfords for ten. The lights that you can charge via USB are winners in our books too. A fluorescent jacket rounds off the visible look.

4 YOUR CABINET

There is a saying that there is no such thing as bad weather, just inappropriate clothing. It was attributed to the famous hiker Alfred Wainwright, but is equally relevant to cyclists. There are many high quality clothing brands that create aesthetic and practical outfits. As a guide, layers are better than heavy clothing so as not to break a sweat. Ideally a base layer to wick away sweat while providing insulation. Next comes a polyester blouse before ending with a waterproof jacket or windbreaker. Wear long shorts or travel pants down, depending on your type of cycling. And a good quality pair of gloves is not a negotiable item.

5 BEAT THE DEFLATION

Bright blue skies and golden hues make autumn a great time to ride a bike. Unfortunately, it's also season for fallen leaves, broken branches, and increased roadside litter, which creates the ghost of a flat tire. That is why you need to learn how to change the inner tube of the tire. You can learn the process step by step in a book like the Haynes Bike Book Manual. It's easier than you think, but not if you don't have the essentials for a tire changer, replacement tubes and a mini pump. (A small breakdown repair kit will also help, although tubing is more convenient.) Prevention is always better than cure, and there are things you can do to avoid a puncture. Keep your tires inflated to the correct pressure, which is printed on the side of the tire, and regularly check your tires for sharp stones or embedded broken glass.

These top tips were provided by sports journalist and author James Witts. For more valuable advice on all aspects of bike maintenance, purchase The Bike Book (7th Edition) on Haynes.com for £ 18.99.

Here's how to clean your wooden cutting board to keep it fresh

In addition to regular cleaning, you should keep disinfecting your board every few weeks, especially if you're using it to cut raw meat. In fact, it is probably a good idea to designate separate tables to cook the meat and plants, and to disinfect the former more frequently.

You can do a thin layer 3% hydrogen peroxide on your board to apply (or a DIY disinfectant wipe use ), for a few minutes rest leave, then clean with a dry sponge and rinse with water. completely warm and dry. If you don't have hydrogen peroxide on hand, you can use apple cider vinegar or white vinegar as alternatives, although these are a little milder.

The first time you apply hydrogen peroxide or vinegar to your board, do a small test to make sure it doesn't damage the wood.

8 tips for choosing the best Airbnb for your next vacation

When was the last time you went on vacation to enjoy your time and explore a new city without having to worry about travel restrictions and curfews? It was probably sometime before 2020.

The good news is that travel is becoming increasingly possible as more countries open their borders and airspaces to tourism while maintaining social distancing measures and wearing masks.

In an earlier survey on the platforms for social networks for A Bawaba the business more than 55% gave to the voters Airbnb rather travel than for a hotel or resort to book. Widely used by today's travelers, this option suggests booking accommodation through a website from among many options.

Airbnb not only offers many cheap accommodation options, but is also particularly popular due to the large number of rentals on offer. Depending on your budget, you can get a decent bedroom and access to shared bathrooms and kitchen, or get an entire apartment to yourself. In some cases you can also purchase a prestigious villa with a private pool and many other enticing amenities.

Not all Airbnb fans are looking for affordable options. Some people just want to have authentic experiences in normal living environments that are not specifically designed for tourists.

1. Search options using the map

The map available on the site will help you identify the area you are in based on the purpose of your visit, the areas you want to explore and the means of transport you use frequently, such as: B. a subway station, control. or a bus stop.

2. Super host

If you have the opportunity to stay in a hotel owned by a great host, don't hesitate. Super Hosts are verified users who previous customers believe provide the best service. They are the ones who show up in no time to help you check or give you full instructions so you can enter the property.

Super hosts almost never cancel their guests and respond immediately to your urgent needs or requests.

3. Use the payment methods on the website.

While some web servers try to convince you of another payment method that saves you paying your fees and services to Airbnb, you can't just trust the person on the other side of the transaction with no guarantee.

They can complete the payment and get it to your property before knowing you've rented it to someone else too. In this case, you will not be able to request assistance or a refund from Airbnb. You have wasted your money and need to rent alternative accommodation at the last minute which is usually too expensive.

4. Find an airport transfer

If you're flying to your vacation spot, try pairing an Airbnb with an airport transfer. This way, you can easily get to the property from day one before you have time to explore, especially if you don't already have internet access.

5. Make sure you are using the correct Airbnb website.

The internet is full of deceptive networks that go to great lengths to take advantage of users and make the most of the money while sabotaging their experience.

If you take a few minutes to search for nightmarish travel experiences, you will find that people have been scammed about websites that looked almost exactly like Airbnb and had almost the same name and url link.

For extra security, book your stay on the right website: www.airbnb.com .

6. Review the photos listed

While most Airbnb hosts go out of their way to show their properties neat and tidy, some post completely different photos of what their places look like.

Use Google's Image Search option to avoid reserving a spot just so that it doesn't match the photo. Check if the photos have been published elsewhere on the internet.

7. Check the WiFi connection and air conditioning.

Even if you don't care if your Airbnb has a bathtub or a microwave, there are some friendships that are extremely important, especially for travelers.

Make sure your host has provided the venue with a WiFi connection and that the venue has air conditioning or heating so you won't get sick during your trip.

8. Finally, disinfection

Airbnb customers have always made a clean place a top priority. Given the ongoing pandemic and the lack of evidence that people cannot infect the virus from space or items that others have previously used, it is very important that the property has been properly sanitized and cleaned after the last few customers. . Belt.

More and more hosts are posting pictures of disinfection licenses recently issued by cleaning services to reassure guests that their stay is COVID-free.

Have you used Airbnb before? Would you prefer to use it or do you opt for the old hotel booking option? What do you think travelers should consider when booking an Airbnb?

How to remove juice stains from car upholstery

It is inevitable to have stains on the coating of cars, but what can you do to make sure the stains don't stick? Whenever something is spilled, the two golden rules must act quickly and treat it appropriately. The good news is that most spills can be removed before they become permanent stains. The method of removing stains depends on the substance, the age of the stain, and the fabric . If you don't have something waterproof on it, the spill will seep out and cause damage. Let's focus on how to remove juice stains from various car seat materials.

Leather car seats

Leather car seats are expensive but add a touch of luxury to your vehicle. For these reasons, you should take care of it. To effectively remove juice stains, act on the spilled liquid immediately. Don't wait for it to dry. First, close all car windows or park in a shaded area to prevent sunlight from entering your car. Some types of juice, such as citrus juice, contain citric acid, which works faster when exposed to light.

Remove any excess pulp with a spoon or flat object, being careful not to spread the stain. Mix liquid soap with water and use a sponge to gently apply the solution to the area using the wax technique . Don't rub. Pat dry, then apply clean water with a sponge. Remove all soap and sugar residues to avoid attracting dirt.

Fabric car seats

Cleaning juice stains on fabric seats takes more than cleaning leather seats. The fabric absorbs liquids quickly and if you don't act right away the spill can leave a stubborn stain. There are several ways to clean fabric or fabric seats.

One way to remove juice stains from fabric seats is to use a baking soda solution. You need to mix a quarter cup of baking soda with a cup of warm water. Apply the solution directly to the stain and scrub the stain with a soft toothbrush. If the stain is stubborn, let the solution sit for about 30 minutes before rubbing it in.

Another way to remove stains from fabric seats is to use liquid detergents. Mix the detergent with warm water and dampen the stain with it. Rub the stain with a towel soaked in cold water. Rinse the same towel again and use it to rinse the detergent off the seats.

Vinyl car seats

Vinyl is a popular material for car seats because of its ease of cleaning. This material can withstand stains, dirt and contamination. To clean juice stains, use detergent (homemade or store-bought). Use a spray bottle to apply the cleaner directly to the stain.

If the stain covers a large area, work in small sections to keep the cleaner from drying out. Use a soft brush to scrub the stain, then blot it with a dry cloth or towel. You may notice an odor after cleaning the seats. Sprinkle baking soda on the seats and let sit for a few minutes. Vacuum the seats and let them dry.

For stubborn stains, use a paste against baking soda. The paste needs to be thick to be effective. Apply the paste to the stain and leave it on for 10 minutes. Wipe off the residue, then clean it normally.

Canvas car seats

Canvas material can be casual, but also sporty and elegant. It's a pretty durable fabric and comes in a variety of colors. Canvas car seats should be cleaned at least twice per season. To clean up spilled material on the backing, prepare a cleaning solution with a mixture of mild liquid detergent and warm water intended for clothing .

Wipe the solution off the canvas with a clean sponge. Use a brush if the stains are stubborn. Rinse the seats with clean water and let them dry. Leave the car doors open to allow sunlight to speed up the drying process. If you have a colored canvas, be aware that sunlight can discolor the fabric.

Keep your car upholstery in pristine condition with these cleaning solutions and stain removal tools. Keeping your car seats clean is easy and a must. Clean them regularly to prevent contamination and extend their life.

Clean, cover, cover and store patio items

Your terrace will be used a lot in the warmer months. In Michigan's colder months, you likely spend little time outdoors, which means you spend little time enjoying your patio furniture.

Because of our winter weather, there are a few steps you need to take to winterize your patio and ensure that your patio furniture is properly protected from the elements. Follow these simple steps below to properly protect your outdoor space during the winter months.

1. Cleaning

The first step in preparing your garden furniture for the winter months is cleaning. Moisture, dirt and debris on patio furniture and textiles can cause mold to grow and leave your furniture in poor condition the following spring.

Tips for cleaning various furniture materials

Garden, wrought iron or plastic garden furniture can be cleaned with a sponge or brush with a mixture of detergent and water. Then just rinse and let dry.

For wooden patio furniture, follow the manufacturer's care instructions. Improper staining, cleaning or cleaning methods can damage your furniture or void your warranty. Whitewashed or painted wooden objects can be cleaned with a damp cloth. Avoid watering or scrubbing as these methods can cause paint to crack.

Tips for cleaning pillows and textiles

When it comes to textiles and upholstery such as pillows, rugs and umbrellas, keeping them clean and dry is important for durability. Mostly it is enough to dust everything that gets wet and let it air dry. However, if you are preparing to put your upholstery items away, now is a good time to do a thorough cleaning. In general, a pressure washer can work wonders on particularly dirty outdoor pillows and cushions. If in doubt, however, read the manufacturer's care instructions. After washing, let everything dry completely.

2nd coat

It is important to properly treat furniture outdoors. The best way to treat your patio furniture depends on the material. However, as always, read the recommended care instructions for your decking kit before you begin.

3. Cover

If you do not have space to store your garden furniture indoors during the winter months, furniture covers for outdoors are an absolute must. Waterproof furniture covers protect your garden furniture from the worst winter weather conditions such as rain, sleet, snow and wind. Also, if you want to keep your furniture indoors, you should consider protective covers against dust, dirt and pests. Outdoor furniture covers can also be used year-round to protect your furniture from fading and to keep it clean between uses.

4. Save

Storing your garden furniture in the off-season is the best protection against the weather. A garage, basement, or storage shed are ideal, but a covered patio or patio will also protect your furniture. An alternative to storage is to use your outdoor parts indoors and enjoy them in winter.

Store accessories

Small items like pillows and decorations should also be kept for winter. Outdoor storage boxes are a smart way to keep these items neat and organized until spring.

Gardening supplies and accessories are often left outside. However, pipes and pots can crack at extreme temperatures. So find a warm place where you can also keep these winter utensils.

Clean and cover the grill

Like patio furniture and décor, your barbecue grill is susceptible to damage from winter weather conditions. When the cooking season is over, light the grill one last time to burn off any residue and use a wire brush to remove debris from the grates. Clean the grease trap and the outside of the grill.

Prone to repairs

Once you've packed all of your furniture, decorations, and barbecue accessories, take the time to take care of your patio structure. Clean the area and remove dirt, leaves, and other debris with a leaf blower or broom. If your patio is particularly dirty, wash it down with a pressure washer or garden hose.

Clear liquid dish detergent is effective at removing stains from carpets. The trick is not to use too much. Mix only 2-3 drops of dish soap with 1 cup of warm water. The drops must be very small. Too much detergent can leave a sticky residue that attracts dirt, dust, and grime.

Dip a white towel or paper towel in the solution and gently rub the stain from the outside edge to the center. After removing the stain, rub the stain again with a white towel to remove any remaining cleaning solution. Detergent works best on water-soluble stains. Use only clear, bleach-free dish detergent.

You can also spray disinfectant on specific areas like hard floors and bathroom tiles.

To scrub the shower doors, Sophie used her Scrub Mummy sponge, which she uses all over her house.

Hot water softens the sponge and is great for removing excess product, while cold water hardens it. This makes it perfect for removing stubborn stove stains.

The sponge can be picked up from supermarkets and B&M for around £ 2.50. The company behind the sponge says it can be used without water.

Sophie finished her cleaning routine on Friday by putting her shower basket away to make sure she had thrown away all empty products and refilled them with new ones.

Pore suction 101

Created for Greatist by the experts at Healthline. Continue reading

We offer products that we believe will be useful to our readers. If you buy from links on this page we can earn a small commission. Here is our process.

Here's one thing that anyone with a nose or chin can agree on: sucking pimples . And now more people than ever are trying to vacuum them directly with pore vacuums.

These portable pore suction devices have been around for a minute. The surge in spiked content has recently helped them get to the top of YouTube recommendations and online shopping carts. But do you still need a device in your bathroom?

Do pore vacuum cleaners work?

It depends on your definition of "work". They can totally help remove oil and dirt from your pores, but it's not a permanent solution. Expect satisfactory results, but don't expect your nose to look like an Insta filter.

It's pretty simple: pore vacuums are portable suction devices with interchangeable nozzles. When placed on a "clogged" area of the skin, suction will help release the plugs of keratin, the dermatological name for blackheads.

"Blackheads are caused by keratin (dead skin cells), sebum, and dirt," says Dr. Xenovia Gabriel, dermatologist and hormonal skin care expert at Zena Medical in Newport Beach. in California.

Have you ever wondered what makes them black? "The pimple is a hair follicle or an open pore in which the pore contents oxidize and the head appears dark."

Lore aspirators began as an alternative to office skin treatments such as the Hydrafacial, which uses a high-performance, FDA-approved microdermabrasion device. However, these pro-level results come at a price.

Now you can find a personal pore vacuum for your medicine cabinet at almost any cost.

  1. First wash that beautiful face. Preferably with a Xenovia deep cleanser. You can also spray your face with a personal spray bottle or in the shower to remove dirt.
  2. Dry your face very well.
  3. Choose a clean, disinfected nozzle, turn on the pore vacuum, and set it to the lowest suction setting.
  4. Gently place the suction tip over the affected area and aim at the clogged pores. Purposely move the vacuum in smooth, elongated patterns.
  5. Keep moving around the affected areas, being careful not to leave it in one place for too long.
  6. Finished? Admire your work (isn't that half the reason you bought this?) And clean all the nozzles from the nozzle. Disinfect with alcohol and resist the urge to suckle for another week.

Xenovia recommends ending the self-care moment with a non-greasy moisturizer to protect and repair the skin barrier. Look for one with hyaluronic acid and niacinamide.

Yes, but with one caveat.

"Acne is a multifactorial problem," says Xenovia. "Blackheads and other pimples require topical medication to clear and control them. There is not a single device that can solve the problem of acne or blackheads. You need a combined approach. ""

Blackheads are gone for now

You will notice fewer blackheads everywhere you use it, but these benefits will linger until those pores are clogged again.

"To keep your pores free of pimple-causing dirt, keep them clean and satisfied with anti-acne ingredients like salicylic acid, benzoyl peroxide, clindamycin, retinols, and sulfur-based products," says Xenovia.

A skin care routine that consists of a retinoid and chemical peels such as salicylic acid or glycolic acid is given an A + for the prevention and treatment of blackheads.

Retinoids and hydroxy acids should be stored for at least a few days before using the porous vacuum. Otherwise it can cause severe redness or discoloration, irritation and skin damage.

And the white dots?

The goals of the points are, as spheres, only follicles or clogged pores that are close to the surface of the skin.

Xenovia gives pore vacuums a boost for whiteheads as long as it's a shallow pimple and hasn't been one of those super deep monsters out there for a year. Buy pore vacuum cleaner online .

Not when you are nice. According to Xenovia, if the vacuum is held in one place for too long or the suction is increased too much, bruising, broken blood vessels, or dilated blood vessels can result, which can make the situation worse and lead to even more inflammation.

If your skin is sensitive, prone to rosacea, or your acne is severely inflamed, avoid completely emptying your pores.

Switch to an oil cleaner. It doesn't sound like intuitive, but the oil in your detergent sticks to and dissolves the excess oil on the surface, a major cause of blackheads.

Add chemical facial peels to your routine. Once you've cleaned your pores with a vacuum cleaner, you need the right combination of ingredients from chemical peel facial treatments to keep them clean. The acids glycolic and salicylic acid , according to Zenovia, have excessive power to prevent blackheads.

Put on your mask. Masks off Clay Charcoal and turmeric are important in deeply penetrating and cleaning pores.

Try squeaky skin. The squeaky skin popularized by a Reddit blackhead routine is a three-step weekly treatment that includes an oil cleanse, clay mask, or scrub (or both!) And another oil cleanse. The pimples under the fingers are the severed keratin plugs, that is, the blackheads. Raw / awesome.

Remove some pore bands. Who doesn't love a well-exposed strip of pores ? And since you're doing so much to smooth out those blackheads, it should be very satisfying. Don't overdo it, once a week is enough.

Pore vacuum cleaners like Hansel are just so hot. You've got the satisfaction that pimple video enthusiasts and pore tape wearers love. They are available at almost all prices. Buy pore vacuums online from your favorite skin care brands .

Pore vacuums gently vacuum to remove dead skin cells, sebum, and dirt that clog pores and turn into blackheads.

They permanently remove dirt (as evidenced by dirt build-up on the nozzle), but it is not a one-size-fits-all solution. Once you've cleaned your pores, you need to use the right combination of skin care products to keep them from clogging again.

Pore suckers are generally safe to use on blackheads and pimples, but not on deeply rooted or severely inflamed pimples.

Be gentle The greatest risk is keeping the vacuum in one place for too long and increasing the suction power too much. The result is bruises and broken blood vessels.

Pore suckers are only part of the equation. An effective diet for preventing pimples includes a retinoid and a chemical peel such as glycolic or salicylic acid. You can also combine it with other popular blackhead remedies like squeaky skin, face masks, and porous tapes.

Note that the simultaneous use of these products can lead to significant redness or discoloration, irritation and microtraumas of the skin. Retinoids / retinol and AHA / BHA should be stored for a few days before using the vacuum. The vacuum cleaner should not be used more than once a week.
