9 simple tips to keep your car running

Follow these easy cleaning tips and be proud of your new car for years to come

We've all decided to keep our cars up for the next few years while we buy them. In the end, however, this rarely happens in the long run. The reasons can be many, but if you're not lazy enough, here are some tips and tricks to keep your car shiny and absolutely clean.

1) Protect it from the sun

It's best to park your car in the garage, and if you do not have it, a shady spot should help keep the sun at bay. The least you can do is make a car plan (it costs about Rs 2000, but varies depending on the vehicle type) to make sure your car is well protected. Be careful with good larvae (bird droppings) in your parked car as this can lead to bad luck in painting your car.

Tip: We know that black cars are beautiful, but they also attract more heat and dust. If possible, avoid the darker tones.

2) wash at regular intervals

The most obvious way to keep a car clean is to use it regularly. While you can clean it almost every day, you should also visit a car wash that can even wash the floor of your car. Use water for daily cleaning, but you should practice "double bucket cleaning" once or twice a week to keep your car cooler. In the meantime, fill one bucket with clean water and the other with soapy water (read the label on the bottle to check the amount of liquid that should be added). You can use all branded products, but we recommend 3M Car Wash Liquid. Gently rub the surface of the car with a clean sponge and then rinse with high pressure water spray. To keep the light color on your car, we recommend that you do this exercise once a week.

Tip: If you wear a wax coat only occasionally every three months, you will extend the life of your vehicle paint. You can get Meguiar's Liquid Max to get the job done.

3) Use a microfiber cloth

It is recommended to use separate microfibre cloths for outside, inside and dust. Use different cloths for dry cleaning, as using the same damp cloth will leave swirl marks on your car. You can clean the tires and tires of your car with a normal cloth. This practice will help you to clean your car without leaving any traces. A typical microfibre cloth costs about Rs 200 to Rs 250. A good quality microfiber will be thicker and have a ratio of polyester to polyamide of 70:30. Buy fabrics in different shades to help you make a difference.

Tip: Avoid washing the car when it is hot or in the scorching sun to prevent damage to the paint.

4) Damaged? Repair the piece immediately

The damaged body with exposed plates can oxidize quickly. Have it repaired as soon as possible, as it not only costs more in the long term, but can also cause an accident if the damage occurs in a critical part of the car.

Tip: Keep an eye out for hidden parts under the bumpers or wheel arches, as they are not easily recognizable as body damage.

5) food, not inside!

Just avoid eating / drinking / smoking in the car. No matter what care you take, crumbs can fall off your sandwich or hamburger. If you spill a drink that is even worse, it could leave stains on the seats and carpets of your car. And smoking will inevitably leave a smell that will stay. Once you see a liquid, clean it. Avoid storing edible things on the board and seats. Use the cup holder to place the coffee cups and soda cans.

Tip: Always keep trash bags in your car. You can put the trash immediately in the bin so that it does not spread in your car.

6) Look at your shoes before engaging

Yes, the biggest source of dirt and dust in the cabin is your shoes. A quick touch of your shoes before entering would help to keep the car clean.

Tip : Try to hit your shoes on the floor, or sit on the seat with your legs outstretched, hit the shoes against each other and turn.

7) Get your detailed car from time to time

While a DIY person is a good thing, a professional dealer in your car makes sure it stays new. The details eliminate the small scratches and speed up the larger scratches. We recommend this exercise twice a year, but it also depends on how you use it. In addition to the details, we recommend that you choose a synthetic paint sealer to further protect the color of your car.

Tip: Details can be a bit expensive (cost between Rs 4000 to Rs 10,000, depending on the type of body / size of the vehicle), but do not hesitate to shell out a few dollars more because you will go a long way to to keep this bright color new

8) Vacuum in the cabin

No matter how hard you try to keep your cabin clean, small dust particles tend to stick to your beige upholstery (dirt is less noticeable in gray or black coatings). A visit to a service center ensures that dust is removed even in areas that your hands can not reach. B. in AC vents.

Tip: You can also get a handy vacuum cleaner and do the work yourself on the go.

9) Coating: Teflon vs. ceramics

The Teflon coating is not very durable. In fact, you have to do it every six months. In addition, the decision for a Teflon coating often harms the paint in the long run. On the other hand, the ceramic coating is made of a hard substance that forms a protective layer on the paint, which can prevent chemical etching and even protect the car from rust.

While the teflon coating is affordable at between 4,500 and 7,000 rupees, depending on the type of body of the car, the ceramic coating is expensive, ranging from 18,000 rupees to 35,000 rupees. We recommend a Teflon ceramic coating because it keeps the color of your car in good condition for a long time.

Tip : Do not fall into traps of the dealer when you have covered the car.

A pair of crisp white sneakers give every outfit an instant dose of fashion, in a style that does not require too much effort. However, even if the casual style of these shoes makes them uncomfortable to hold, someone who has been trying to keep your shoes clean for a full day knows that it's a lot of work to do. INSIDER recently asked a group of fashion experts and cleaning specialists to give advice on how to keep the radiant white of our shoes, and they gave us new ideas.

To remove the discoloration of white leather shoes, go to the bathroom and take a tube of toothpaste.

Finding an ugly wear mark or a build-up of dirt in your favorite white leather shoes is a frustrating morning. Fortunately, you already have a secret weapon in your toothpaste sink.

Srajan Mishra of TSI Apparel in Dubai recommends a toothpaste and sugar that can be used to rub off the dirt from the tennis slippers.

"Use a toothbrush and toothpaste and rub and the surface of the shoe, mixed with toothpaste to mix some sugar to be more efficient during the dirtiest corners cleaning," Mishra said. If you choose a toothbrush that you want to use as a shoe-cleaning tool, you should use a brush with soft bristles for the purpose of the tab used in the kit.

If you want to give your toothpaste cleaning strategy an extra boost, Dave Bowden of Irreverent Gent suggests a bleaching toothpaste. Try using toothpaste, use an [age] toothbrush or finger, apply some toothpaste [whitening], rub in the point cloud, then use a cleaning cloth removed. Fabric], "Bowden recommended.

Washing machines can damage your sneakers.

Throwing your white canvas sneakers into the washing machine with a large bleach plug seems a quick and easy way to remove unsightly dirt. However, the heat and movement of a wash cycle can cause irreparable damage. "Never [white slipper] washes in a washing machine, that will destroy the union of cement and, in some cases, you exacerbate shoes," said Marc Scepi of the SNKR project.

Washing the linen shoes by hand certainly requires more time, but is rewarded with good white shoes. Charlotte Anderson of Manchester Cleaner has offered the following cleaning methods to prevent the stains on your shoes:

Mixed ¼ cup of detergent and 2 cups of hot water in a large bowl dipped a brush in the solution and rubbed the fabric part from both sides of the shoes in circular motions, rinsing and repeating until the canvas cleaned the soles [by dipping] an old toothbrush In a mass of equal parts baking soda and water, and gently rub the soles of the feet. If you are satisfied with the result, rinse your shoes thoroughly with cold water. "

Do not neglect your white shoelaces.

Here's a disturbing truth in the world of white sneakers: even though the shoes rub and remove all the dirt and plants, a series of dyed and faded white shoelaces will defeat all their hard work. Fortunately, cleaning or replacing cords is a simple and inexpensive task.

Anderson recommends washing the laces by hand by filling a container with water and a few drops of dish soap and soaking the cords before rinsing them and drying them in the air. Bowden likes to add baking soda and bleach to his top-of-the-line cleaner, but he also thinks it's a good idea to "throw them in the washing machine with white".

However, Scepi does not recommend cleaning your white shoelaces. Instead, believe that the right thing to do when your shoestring fades is "just buy new".
