Spring Cleaning Tips for Dog Owners

You and your dog has locked up all winter, and now that spring is on the way, it's time to clean and prepare for the warmer weather. The American Kennel Club offers the following spring cleaning tips to help dog owners start the season off right.

* Spill-control. Shedding increases in spring as dogs lose their winter coats. To keep your dog clean and tidy, regularly brush his coat around the opening to control and be sure to brush along the skin, loosen and remove dead hair and dander.

* Clean legs. Spring, or "mud season" as dog owners often can lead leg on the floor after playing outside in the mud and grass. Place for your puppy to the door, when he was playing outside and wipe each leg with a damp cloth gently, so be sure to get between fingers to remove mud and dirt - this will help clean and dog at home.

* Your dog clean, the bed regularly. Use a cloth cover on the bed of your dog can be easily removed for washing. Hair and vacuum excess dirt and then wash the lining unscented detergent without fabric softener, which can irritate the skin your dog.
