A woman shares a 60p hack for a deep cleaning kettle that removes all buildup

A woman has revealed a quick trick to get rid of stubborn limescale at the bottom of your teapot, and it costs just 60p.

The kettle is one of the most popular kitchen appliances and many people use it to brew a cup of tea or coffee several times a day. As useful as they are, over time limescale can build up in the soil, changing the taste of your drinks and even harboring dangerous bacteria.

According to TikTokker @Lucykalice , all it takes to get your kettle sparkling again is a basic household ingredient and a few minutes of waiting.

The content creator frequently posts cleaning videos and shares tips and tricks with her 23,600 subscribers.

In one of her latest clips, she said she's starting the "big Christmas deep clean" and that her first task is to tackle the kettle.

Showing the inside of her teapot, which was covered in unsightly limescale, she said: "I really wanted to take it out and freshen it up.

"I've started adding lemon juice, I've only used it in bottles, but you can use a fresh lemon, that works too."

Lucy then filled the kettle with water and boiled it normally, then let it sit for 30 minutes.

After rinsing out the water, he showed the inside of the kettle, which was completely lime-free and looked like new.

The TikTokker continued: "Then I just cleaned the kettle, then the kettle lid and voila. The kettle is clean."

Stan recommends a pantry staple that you may already have on hand. And if you don't have one in your kitchen, you can pick one up from most stores for up to £1.50.

The item Stan recommends is a plain bottle of white vinegar. He says the product helps remove stains and odors from your carpet, whatever the cause.

Stan recommends pouring the vinegar into a spray bottle and spraying it on the carpet where the stain is. For alcohol stains, he said that while the vinegar smells strong, it absorbs and eventually wears away the lingering smell of the alcohol.

To remove unsightly food stains from your carpet, you may need to use something stronger. And Stan recommends a simple mixture of baking soda and water, leave the mixture on the stain for 20 minutes, then rinse the area with a damp cloth.

GREENWOOD, Indiana – As the holiday season rolls on and you cook more often, Indiana American Water shares some tips for keeping your drain clean and free of FOG (grease, oil, and grease) clogs.

Neither dishwashing detergent nor garbage disposal can adequately break down these materials that accumulate over time. This buildup of grease can restrict the flow of sewage or, worse, block homeowners' sewer lines or utility lines.

Customers can reduce clogs by disposing of greases, oils and grease properly and not attempting to flush them down the drain.

Consumers can prevent FOG clogs by following these tips:

• Never pour grease down sinks, toilets or sewers.
• Let the fat cool down. Then use a rubber scraper to remove it and throw it away.
• Install baskets/filters in the sink drain to catch leftover food and dispose of it in the trash.
• Garbage cans do not prevent grease from flowing down the drain. Detergents that claim to dissolve grease can pass it down the line and cause problems in the sewage system.
• Never flush baby wipes and paper towels down the toilet. You should throw them away.

Bieber and Micah Cravalho have transformed bottled water brand Generosity into a water technology company that supplies premium alkaline water to refillable springs around the world. They displayed 150 water fountains during the FIFA World Cup in Qatar this month. Bieber spoke about the brand's social impact initiative in a statement to CNN.
