The Hays Public Services Department hired specialized services to Mayer perform cleaning and sewer line inspections in the areas described below and shown on the attached map.

The project, which includes 18 miles of sewer lines, must begin June 30 and until 30 August, the weather or other unforeseen problems.

Our door sign will be placed in the houses affected eve cleaning.

During this process, the residents can experience a boom, and the ability to enter the water from the sink, bath and / or toilet. Sewer pipes can build air pressure or vacuum in the cleaning process. Generally directs air pressure or vacuum plumbing openings, but sometimes there are facilities with inadequate sanitary openings (eg, no ventilation openings, openings or ventilation openings are blocked too small). In case of insufficient ventilation, the air pressure can escape through the toilet, floor, sink, tub or shower drains, to splash water or what vacuum could draw water traps odors for attachment.

If you are not at home or on vacation during the time of duct cleaning, which begins on June 30, you will protect your home, keep the toilet lid.

Other ideas on how you are protecting your home far away.

• Close the lid on any toilet bowl when not in use.

• Replace the drain plugs in all sinks and bathtubs, if it is not in use.

• Remove all rugs in the bathrooms.

• Put an old towel around the base of toilets or cover all toilets with plastic or an old towel and close the lid on the plastic or towel.

• If you have a record in your floor drain or a check valve installed in your home, make sure it is free of debris and working properly.

• Never wrap the top of your basement floor drains and a thick plastic (ie a freezer bag or carpet car floor). Place a heavy object on the floor drains to keep the floor drain with plastic caps in place covered.

Caution is recommended only during working hours. Residents can put things as they were when the team moved from their block.

See attached map for detailed locations. The range 27-27 and Plum Hall and cleaned first, then teams in the southern end of the city for the first movement and Elm. The last phase will be in Canterbury from 41 to 22 and 22.

Cleaning and inspection keeps drains running efficiently:

• Preventive maintenance significantly reduces the risk of damage to sewer blockages and backups.

• Removal of debris such as tree roots, grease, sand and gravel built.

• Determine the status of the sewer system for the repair or replacement of culverts, as needed.

The sewers are cleaned with a high pressure nozzle to rinse water drains. Dirt and debris into a manhole covered by a large truck and vacuum transferred to the landfill.

The lines are inspected by inserting a video camera away sewers to save its state. The video shows the crew in case of repair or replacement of the sewer required.
