Good Housekeeping reduced corrosion of fertilizers

The biggest challenge in maintaining the motorized sprayer is against corrosion caused by fertilizer dust adheres to all exposed parts of the machine proliferation caused.

Fertilizer air absorbs moisture and becomes acidic and an electrically conductive coating that attack the metal and electrical parts. Particularly at risk are the stock controlling relationships, electric starting and charging systems, and the main components of the powertrain aluminum. Stainless steel, certain plastics and rubber does not corrode in the rule.

Painting and electroplating are used to protect certain components. However, once exposed to any basic piece of metal parts and the corrosion begins when you, in the absence of proper cleaning and maintenance continue progressively until failure. To make matters worse, the corrosion damage is not usually covered by the warranty on the motor and gearbox manufacturer. Diligent daily cleaning and will go a long way to go prolong the life of your spreader syringe.

The following guidelines are provided by PermaGreen and can also be applied to other spacers syringes. However, always made available to the care and cleaning instructions of the manufacturer.

Daily cleaning tips. PermaGreen recommends that customers have no power to wash their machines because of the high water pressure to force corrosive residues of fertilizers in the camps, links and other parts.

The best approach to cleaning spray a spreader PermaGreen first hopper outlet plates and wheel with water at low pressure to 29 psi never washed.

Then use the low pressure air to 29 psi regulated for drying the washed components and fry the accumulation of manure from the rest of the machine.

Finally, use WD-40 or equivalent fluid film to lubricate and protect the exposed aluminum and moving parts, including, without limitation, cables and controls the operation, carburetor, links, fonts funnel orifice plates and electric components. This step is very important in reducing corrosion. fluid film also leaves a protective layer, which does not evaporate.

At least once a week to remove, and protective low water pressure regulated to 29 psi to wash the entire machine. Start and the machine and blow dry to 29 psi regulated in order to remove water. Then lubricate and protect, as described above, before the guards.

Other maintenance instructions. Use to avoid liquid film for covering and sealing the start of the spark plug and other electrical connections to startup problems. Check, clean, and often replace the air filter. Lubricate all fittings at least every two weeks. Change engine oil and the clutch every 50 hours. Test all safety devices frequently.

Prevent engine problems associated with fuel with fuel stabilizer and additive ethanol treatment in each container. Sta-Bil Fuel Stabilizer is only approved for use in devices PermaGreen. See the manufacturer's instructions and follow their recommendations. Also, never another fuel E15 ethanol or high can damage the engine. Again, refer to the guidelines and recommendations for your particular manufacturer.
