I've read that you are using baking soda with aluminum foil and get the same results. So, if you do not run out and buy a bar keeper friend, I tried baking soda. It worked well, but keep reapplying the baking soda throughout the cleaning process. This purification process is painted for pallets or have a special coating, either.
