Spring is the perfect time to take these simple steps to save £ 500 per year, writes JAMES WALKER Resolver.co.uk time.

Spring is finally here and we even see some sunshine.

In the UK, sunglasses to dust, the countryside or on the coast runs ... and buy lots of sunscreen.

Spring is also the time for spring cleaning. Not my favorite thing in the world, but necessary.

It's also when I clean a lot of "Spring asked your finances advice.

Let me admit are very good on paper, many of these proposals, but it is known, if they look too hard, which could do.

When I set up solver, I knew I was to our complaints application to make as simple as possible begin to stressful to use or find, or intimidating people.

So, here are a few simple tips to make money this spring Save with minimal effort on.

• Do not approach to energy switching, broadband, mobile service provider, or other?

Contact them and ask them what the best thing is they have is - and why are not there.

Asks them to confirm the agreement is the best writing - so when the company made a mistake, you can file a complaint.

• Do not handle a queue to wait for hours on the phone?

Use to request media or social services online "chat" to contact the company and a callback. Explain that you want to talk to someone who can help to reduce costs in exchange, not to spend.

• Cancel things. Gym memberships, catalogs, store cards, insurance policies old.

Too much clutter your finances can feel make chaotic.

Cancel those who do not need to consider the combination, and other costs associated with a single company - mobile services and broadband, for example. Or, combine all the benefits of an insurance policy.

• fight against interest rate trap. If you have a couple of loans or credit cards (and other debt), not let you down.

Locate the debt with the highest interest rate (usually credit cards or storage) and increase your payments if you can.

Do not save while you are in debt - it is a false economy. You need more money in interest you pay to get your savings.

• Pay attention to the purchase-one-get-one-free offers that are not exactly bargains.

Supermarkets and shops know that we want. But just because it does not go out one day sale, offer or agreement that this is a good deal.

BOGOF Price saw the most expensive items that cost over the past week.

Shops tend to keep the price of some static elements such as bread or milk, so they think that the whole business is cheaper.

Actually increase other factors which significantly offset the loss of basic foodstuffs.

• Do not go shopping when you are hungry. There is much research that goes into the psychology of shopping.

If you are hungry, you will probably spend a lot more calories and buy more products or "reward" - the plan and the window is off.

And other factors - to avoid such peak periods in the supermarkets (which are more adventurous with when they rushed or stressed purchases) - can help save a lot of money.

Even if you follow some of these simple tips, you should be able to save some up to £ 500 a year - and it's easy!
