Before and After: The "Secret Ingredient" to Cleaning an Oven Door - Better Homes and Gardens

So yes, I finally wanted to clean my oven, but I wanted to do it with a non-toxic oven cleaner.

Naturally, I reached out to the Mums Who Clean Facebook group, where one mom explained that she hadn't cleaned her oven door in a while either, and thought she'd experiment with a few products to see which ones are the best works best.

Long story short, the winner was the Koh Diamond Sponge .

"The moral of the story is to buy KOH Diamond Sponge because I believe it's the secret ingredient to get the same results," he wrote. "So that's it. I wish you a nice day. "

How to clean an oven with Koh

Cleaning an oven with Koh is surprisingly easy. The process took me about 15 minutes, which is a big plus.

  • Make sure the oven surface is dry.
  • Spray your oven and glass door with Koh Universal Cleaner and leave for up to 5 minutes.
  • Then spray a diamond sponge with Koh Universal Cleaner and do a spot test.
  • When everything is clear, gently rub off the dirt (this part is very satisfying).
  • I wiped up the dirt with a paper towel and sprayed and scrubbed the glass with the sponge a few times.

A word of caution though. I didn't have this problem, but some moms in the Cleaning Moms Facebook group said the sponge scratched their glass. But as one person said, "If you wet it, it's less difficult." So if you're worried, wet the sponge and test it on a small area first.

What is Koh Diamond Sponge used for?

What else can the Koh Diamond Sponge be used for? Koh says on his website that Diamond Sponge is for deep cleaning, eliminating the need to use harsh chemical cleaners. "Ideal for ovens, grills and soap scum, the diamond pad removes stubborn grease, limescale, rust, mineral deposits and other stubborn dirt."

However, it is important to remember that the diamond pad is a sharp abrasive and should not be used on surfaces that are easily scratched such as B. plastic, chrome and stainless steel.
