Woman gives tip on how to keep clothes fresh even in musty-smelling cupboards - Devon Live

A woman has shared a simple way to keep your clothes smelling great, even if they're hanging in a moldy closet.

We all want to smell good, but dark, stuffy closets can make that difficult. You can store dehumidifying bags in your closets and drawers to help control humidity and prevent mold growth, and replace them as needed.

Dehumidifying bags can stop that musty smell, but for those who want to take it a step further, a TikToker has shared a tip.

Content creator @mama_mila_ shared some budget-friendly tips to keep your home looking its best , including a simple wardrobe tip. She suggested making scented sachets with Epsom salts and essential oils and hanging them to keep the fabrics fresh, and demonstrated this by hanging a jacket with a scented sachet on the hanger.

It wasn't specified which essential oils to use, so you can choose the scent you prefer. You can even purchase fragrance oils that mimic popular scents.

Alternatively, you can purchase sachets of essential oils and place them in your wardrobe. If you're on a budget, Primark offers scented sachets that you can place near your clothes to keep the area smelling nice.

Mila didn't limit herself to just one tip: she had several suggestions to make your room and even your entire house smell divine.

One of her tips for a fragrant bedroom is to "put essential oils on cotton balls and place them in the vacuum" so the scent spreads throughout the room as you clean.

Another cleaning tip is to add "a cup of baking soda" when washing bedding, which "deodorizes and brightens clothes."

To keep it smelling "fresh" between washes, she also recommended using a "laundry spray."

In response to her advice, one person replied: "Baking soda is seriously the best for so many things!!!!!!" Another said: "I can't wait to try these tips."
