Spring Cleaning Tips

  South Bend, Ind. - The city of Bend Valerie Schey, Councillor calls residents to be careful when cleaning their homes. She advises all non-hazardous materials, must not be disposed of with household waste.

 

City Council Schey published this   Online list exhorted all to pay attention during spring cleaning.

"I wanted to know our residents, perhaps we want our residents to encourage the proper disposal of these hazardous wastes do," Schey said.

 

"We have to liberate only a lot of junk in the garage," says Tonya Long, a resident of South Bend. Michiana Lange and others are able to get rid of your unwanted stuff after a long winter. But there are some things that should not be disposed of with household waste. Examples include paints, thinners, pesticides and batteries. You can damage the environment if disposed of improperly.

 

"Ultimately, if we use it in the trash, then the stuffing is then eventually end up in our soil and drinking water," says Schey.
