Laura de Barra, Irish author and property developer, swears by just one household product to remove stubborn stains.

Laura's first book, Gaff Goddess, was a number one bestseller and focuses on simple tips and tricks to help you beautify your home. He also had his own column about home tricks.

In a recent video, Laura focused on how to remove stubborn grease stains from clothing, regardless of dark or light color.

She relies on one household item: dishwashing liquid. Laura captioned her TikTok video: "Get rid of grease stains forever! This is a simple trick to remove stains with an inexpensive and easy-to-find product.

In her video, Laura showed a grease stain on a dark blue sweater. She explained: "It works even if you have already washed the item. All you have to do is use a little regular dish soap and then simply rub it onto the stain. Then wash as usual.

Laura added: "If the stain has been there for a long time you may have to do it twice but it will go away." Also, air dry, do not use heat as some food grease stains may contain dyes.

Laura's video has been viewed more than 1.9 million times and has received 52,300 likes and 463 comments. Some people even suggested their own tips. Simon May wrote: "Swarfega (hand cleaner) is by far the best for removing grease and oil from clothes, much better than the dishwasher." »
