Asher clean in the trash

ASHER Lehmann is only seven years old.

But he already cleans the environment around him.

And have a dollar at hand, as long as there is one.

"He picks up cans, bottles and plastic containers to store a scooter," said Mother Sammy Stanford.

"But that was his idea and he picked her up during our nocturnal walks.

"The other night, he found 10 cans during our walk, which is a bit alarming, but he picks them up and puts them in my stroller and then in his little garbage bin when we get home.

"We've been to Moama Return and Earn three times, that's great and it's really important.

"And he encourages all his friends to pick them up for him, too."

"It really encourages the kids to think about the garbage they throw away."

Ms. Stanford said that although they lived in Rochester, they came to twin cities at least once a week.

"Every time we come to eat as a family, he'll empty his little trash in the middle and pick the right ones," he said.

"It makes it a bit exciting to meet him and do it while we're here."

Even though Asher has to get some more cans before he reaches the $ 40 he needs, it's clear he has no doubt he'll make it.

"I save for a razor scooter," he said.

"It's really easy."

Although not high enough to reach the recycling facilities, he stands on tiptoe and expects the best.

With his mother who leads him in the right direction.
