How to use shampoo to clean your ceramic and linoleum floors - House Digest

For a thorough cleaning, sweep or vacuum up dirt and debris before mopping. Focus on high-traffic areas and corners where dirt collects. Once the floor is prepped, mix the shampoo solution by diluting 1-2 teaspoons of shampoo in a mop bucket filled with warm water. Choose the right mop or cleaning tool for your floor type, e.g. B. a mop or a microfiber cloth.

Apply the shampoo solution in small sections, gradually covering the entire area. Rub gently to remove stubborn stains or dirt stains. Pay particular attention to joints on ceramic tiles. Avoid using excessive force as this may damage the floor surface. (Here are some additional tips to keep in mind when cleaning tile floors .)

After scrubbing, leave the solution on for a few minutes. This will loosen and remove the remaining dirt, improving the effectiveness of the cleaning process. Then use clear water and a separate mop or sponge to remove any shampoo residue. Rinse well and wring the mop or sponge as needed to avoid streaking or filming the floor. Finally, make sure the floor is dry enough to prevent slips and falls. Dry the surface with dry cloths or microfiber towels and remove excess moisture.
