Clean freaks revealed the trick, and it's more surprising than you might think.

On Facebook, one person asked Hinch's cleaning fan Facebook page, titled Cleaning Tips and Tricks, for advice on removing the ink from her white sheets.

They wrote: "I managed to get ink on a sheet.

"I've tried white vinegar, which is quite runny and fades. None of them seem to have worked. Does anyone have any other ideas? »

The post drew a lot of attention and discussion about the best cleaning hack.

One wrote: "I have it on my work uniform and have tried everything."

"It doesn't help to let it fade away a bit. Try any sanitizer other than alcohol or nail polish remover and just blot it up."

While someone else suggested, "Try a hand sanitizer that contains alcohol."

There have been some suggestions about using hairspray, which can cost 89p at Savers .

One cleanliness freak added: "spritz it well with hairspray and dry with a clean towel.

"Keep doing this and the alcohol in the hairspray will break up the ink in the fibers and it will flow and release."

"Keep spraying and rubbing, and eventually the ink stains will disappear."

Then someone else asked, "Does it work on pen shots?" Thanks, because I have some in a duvet cover.

"Even though it's been washed many times?"
And they said, "Yeah, it should work, it should work."

"The alcohol in the hairspray should break down the ink on the fabric.

"The ink penetrates the fibers of the fabric and is difficult to remove.

"You don't need a fancy hairspray, just a cheap one.

"Hold the hairspray close to the fabric and soak the ink stains well.

"Be sure to place an old towel or rag behind the stain to prevent the ink from staining anything that comes in contact with it.
