We spoke to Lynsey Crombie, aka the 'Cleaning Queen' , the UK's #1 home and cleaning expert, bestselling author and TV presenter, to get her top tips for a cleaning routine. Perfect in 15 minutes. for busy moms .
When it comes to a simple routine, start with simple products.
Lynsey's simple routine uses only a few essentials.
She said, "Don't overwhelm yourself with lots of cleaning supplies and cupboards full of products that you don't really need or use."

Most of these products on supermarket janitor shelves have fancy labels and no substance.
Pick a few staples like:
- Dish Soap - can be used to clean almost anything
- A good all-purpose cleaner.
- window cleaner
- furniture paint
- feather dusters and microfiber cloths
The cleaning fan recommends that you set a timer of 15 minutes for your cleaning.

She said: "Turn out distractions and set a timer when you enter a room. Focus on important, high-traffic spaces like the kitchen, master bathroom, and living room."
"Set your phone's timer for five minutes and do as many as you can. When the timer runs out, move on to the next game and in 15 minutes you'll have completed three games."
This way you can really focus on making the most of every second you spend cleaning.
When creating a quick routine, Lynsey recommends setting non-negotiable tasks outside of your main routine.

You're far more likely to do them when you know you can't ignore them, and they make your 15-minute cleanse so much easier.
Focus on priority areas and assign yourself tasks based on your current schedule.
Some examples:
- Make the bed
- washing up
- Wash dirty dishes before bed
- Clean kitchen surfaces after cooking
- Vacuum high traffic areas.
As Lynsey explains, "These simple tasks will keep your home clean and tidy while also helping you stay on top of your cleanliness and not feel overwhelmed."
The cleanliness freak also shared the number one rule to follow if you want to keep your house clean even after your 15 minutes are up.
She said, "Don't put it away, put it away." As simple as it sounds, when you're done with something, don't throw it away, put it back in its place.
"You'll be surprised at how much it helps keep your surfaces clean."
Lynsey also shared some tips to make sure you hit your 15 minutes.
Consider building two cleaning carts
Lynsey says, "Keep one upstairs (out of the reach of children) and one downstairs. When you're done with the bathroom, it's an easy way to grab your caddy and do a quick five-minute clean.
Then you can focus on using your 15 minutes to clean up.
Get the whole family involved
Too many cooks can mess up the broth, but when it comes to cleanup, two hands are better than one.
Lynsey says, "Household chores are not the responsibility of one person, so share the burden and delegate the chores." Even the youngest children can help, and you'll likely find that they enjoy it, too.

Lynsey says, "Set aside 10 minutes a week to 'tidy up,' pick a drawer or cupboard, set your timer, and empty out anything you no longer need."
