Attention: you probably do not wash your pans

Pelka should not put his pans in the dishwasher. At high temperatures, the non-stick coating wears out and the cleaning agents are too strong, which also damages the coating.

"Too hot or too cold water can damage the non-stick coating, especially if the pans are still hot after cooking," warns Archer.

"Many of us are guilty of rinsing their pans immediately after cooking, but you should let them cool down earlier."

"Wash with hot water and soap for the best results," he adds.

Wash the wrong copper utensils

The copper trend shows no sign of abandonment, but its once-light copper pan can be overshadowed simply by the way it is cleaned.

Pelka says that all you need to wash your copper is a mixture of vinegar and salt. "Make a mix of water, a few drops of vinegar and a teaspoon of salt, then take a soft, clean cloth, rub the copper with the solution, and let it work for about half an hour," she advises.

What if you really want to shine? Try tomato ketchup.

"It contains vinegar that brightens copper, just apply a thick layer of tomato sauce, let it work for a few minutes and then rinse thoroughly and dry," she says.

Archer suggests investing in a friend of Keepers Bar. "This is my favorite cleaner to make the pots look bright," she says. "It's great for removing stains from the bottom of pots and even better for copper . "

Do not go to nature

While many of us look for washing-up liquid while washing our pans, there are some really good natural tricks to keep your pan bright.

Here are some natural cleaning tips that are supported by experts.

Let a drying sheet penetrate your pans : "We do not know why it works, but the results speak for themselves!" Archer said.

"Just fill the pan with warm water, liquid detergent and a dry cloth, wait an hour and all the hard food particles are easily cleaned."

Use vinegar and baking soda - "Sprinkle baking soda in the pan, mix 250 ml of warm water and 100 ml of vinegar, pour the solution into the pan, it disappears and evacuates stubborn dirt" Archer.

Try the sugar cubes : "Another easy way to remove food particles from a plate is to rub the surface with a piece of sugar," suggests Archer.

"It has a slightly abrasive surface that cleans food without scratching the pan."
