LANSING, Michigan - If you are looking for spiritual guidance to help your mind, body, and spirit, Oracle Apothecary in Old Town might be the place for you.
The shop is full of spiritual hygiene products and offers advice you might not know you were looking for.
"You can get amazing locally sourced skin care and products. I have beeswax candles. My beeswax is local. You can get whatever stones, butter, body or candles you need," said Candice Pizzo, owner of Oracle's Apothecary.
And if you want spiritual reading, you can get it too.
Pizzo is called "The Oracle", just like in "The Matrix".
"An oracle is a person who knows things. They know many things," said Pizzo. "He's a person to turn to with a more spiritual perspective."
He's been doing this for over 20 years and says he works with the living, the dead, and everything in between. She can be in the presence of a person, she said, or touching things to get the information she needs from ancestors and spirits, depending on the person's energy and openness.
The reading process is quite simple.
"Usually it's me and the person who sit down and tell him I need him to relax because when you're nervous and calm it's very difficult to communicate," said Pizzo. "It's about 15 minutes. We have a conversation, we talk and we tell you what the ghosts say to me, or we read you what the letters say."
No crystal ball, no crazy noises or dark rooms like in the film. Just a candle, maybe tarot cards and two people sitting across from each other.
Pizzo says he never saw anything fly around or thrown around the room during a reading, but he says people have attachments.
"That's why I do what I do and do what I do to help them get rid of their attachments and live their lives the way they want," said Pizzo.
Oracle Apothecary also offers courses that include Communicating with a Safe Mind and a Grounding, Cleaning, and Protection course.
And if you don't like spiritual things, says Pizzo, you can always go for products that will help your home, your skin and the good mood in general.
