I'm a laundry expert who can tell you when it's time to swap out your pillows with a simple "fold trick".

Hardly anything is more important for a wonderful night's sleep than the right pillow.

And one lingerie expert has found an easy way to find out when it's time to change your pillows for a good night's sleep.

It's not always easy to know when your pillow needs to be replaced as people get stuck on their current pillows.

Carolyn Forte, director of the Good Housekeeping Institute's Housekeeping Lab, shared a foolproof way to tell when it's time to toss the pillow.

"Plan a shopping spree if you fold your pillow in half and it doesn't spring back," advised Forte.

While that's good advice, there's another surefire way to tell if it's time to replace your old pillow.

While most models are machine washable, some require dry cleaning, so here are some cleaning tips for everyone.

To keep the washing machine balanced, Horte recommends having two people wash the pillows at a time.

According to Forte, simply washing them in the washing machine is not enough. Instead of this,
