Poor cleaning of your bathroom: These are two household items that make it shine

A cleaning expert reveals how she transforms dirty bathrooms using two common household items.

Fiona Mills is a former day care technician who used to clean and scrub houses, so she knows a thing or two about fighting dirt.

Mills, who is now franchise business coach at Spaulding Decon, said the bathroom is "the most germ-contaminated area in the house."

The 37-year-old told Insider, "Without proper cleaning, they can inhibit bacterial growth and also compromise the integrity of parts used in the bathtub and toilet."

At worst, Mills spent two to three hours cleaning bathrooms on the job during her tenure as a daycare technician, but she offered tips so readers didn't have to.

She recommends Microban 24-Hour Bath Cleaner and The Pink Stuff Miracle Foam Bath Cleaner.
