If you're overwhelmed by the prospect of a deep cleaning, physician assistant and dad Tony Adkins, known as the "Dancing Doctor" on TikTok, has five simple tips and tricks to help you keep your home safe from pathogens while keeping it sparkling bring to. By breaking the process down into steps, the whole family will have fun participating.

1. It's spring cleaning time

Spring cleaning doesn't have to be a time-consuming endeavor. Cleaning begins for one room at a time. Do it section by section to make it more manageable. Start by throwing out the junk and putting the important things back where they belong. It is important to clean and disinfect these areas along the way. When you're done, you'll have a tidy room and can move on to the next spot on your cleaning list.

2. Beautify the family room

The family room is where you make memories with your loved ones! Clean all surfaces, lift picture frames or photo books to remove dust from all corners. If you still have winter shoes or jackets, pick them up and put them away.

3. Make your home (and your health) shine

Regularly clean and disinfect high-touch surfaces such as doorknobs, handles, toilets, tables, kitchen counters, remote controls, and cell phones.* You can do this by usingClorox disinfectant wipes, which kill 99.9% of viruses and bacteria like COVID-19 and kill the flu. Nobody wants a cold just when the weather is nice! When used as directed, it also inhibits the growth of odor-causing bacteria for up to 24 hours.

4. Get the children involved

When you're done with the heavy lifting and thorough sanitizing, let the kids pick some spring flowers to make and display a bouquet where the whole family can admire their handiwork. Extra challenge: when the flowers are past their prime, press the prettiest ones into a book and use the dried petals for art projects with the kids.

5. Take a break to dance

Take care of your health by staying hydrated, eating a balanced diet and remembering to have fun! Whether it's dancing in the kitchen or living room, eating together on the patio or other outdoor space, or playing board games, remember to do what makes you happy. You've done the work, now enjoy your clean rooms and relax.
