However, as fans of cleaning sensation Ms. Hinch, aka Sophie Hinchcliffe, have shared their affordable tips for drying wet clothes amid the cost-of-living crisis, some swear by just one device.

Ms. Hinch is a lifestyle and housekeeping influencer with more than 4.6 million followers on Instagram. Inspired by their hacks, their fans have created their own Facebook pages where they can share cleaning tips and tricks with one another , Express reports .

Many people have stated that they have invested in a dehumidifier and that it was the "best purchase ever".

One woman asked the group how she could dry her clothes faster, writing: "Anyone have any suggestions on how I can dry my clothes faster? It takes about two days for it to dry completely."

The post was flooded with comments as hundreds of Ms Hinch's fans shared their recommendations.

Using a clothes dryer is not an option for those looking to save money on their energy bills

Some advised turning on the heat and using the heater to dry clothes, while others recommended products like heated dryers to help dry.

Charlottee Fitchett commented: "My only recommendation is to get a heated dryer, I have the Lakeland Dry Soon and this is a game changer. Also, get the cover as it retains heat and dries clothes faster."

Jackie Huey wrote, "I have the same dryer, once I'm done with my laundry I set mine on a wringer on 2800 to get rid of excess water before putting them in the dryer and they're dry the next day."

Adelle Brown wrote: "Get a warm dryer with a blanket that dries overnight even towels! The best we have ever invested in."

One extremely popular tip has been investing in a dehumidifier. There are expensive and cheap versions of this product available at many retailers from Amazon to Argos, but some people have recommended spending upwards of $100 on a dehumidifier to ensure you're getting a quality one.
