"Wipe them with a cloth slightly dampened with fresh water and dry them with a soft, dry, lint-free cloth," Apple said.
If necessary, users can also lightly moisten the cloth with isopropyl alcohol to disinfect their headphones.
"Clean the microphone and speaker mesh with a dry cotton swab," Apple added.

WHAT YOU MUST NOT DO

"Your AirPods are not waterproof or water-resistant, so be careful not to allow moisture to enter through the openings," Apple warned.
"If your AirPods come into contact with liquid, including sweat during exercise, clean them with a dry microfiber cloth," the company added.
"To dry the case, turn it upside down with the lid open."
