Even if you have no children or animals wet-nosed brats, the screen of the computer or HDTV panel will eventually accumulate a collection of prints and dull spots. My home happens contain both creatures and therefore developed a method to purify the HDTV in the living room and LCD in my office, and the screen on my laptop and iPad.

If you take a quick scan of the LCD or HDTV manufacturers recommended method for cleaning the surface of the monitor or TV screen, you will discover more to do it again, often in conflict with each other.

In column No.:

  • Do not use aerosol sprays, solvents, or abrasives. (This means that no Windex under the kitchen sink, as tempting as it may be.)
  • Do not use hot water other than nothing.
  • Do not use liquid at all.
  • Do not spray liquid directly on the screen.
  • Do not use a hard cloth.
  • Do not disagree with your fingernail or a sharp remove stubborn stains.

To do in the column:

  • Dry with a soft, lint-free cloth, preferably microfiber cleaning cloth that can come with your TV or monitor.
  • Use a solution of water and mild soap if necessary.

Considering all the above into consideration and talk about my own experience advice, what follows is my recommendation:

First Try to clean the screen with a dry, lint-free cloth. Can the cleaning cloth with the monitor can not find supplied in question, then chances are you have a placement to a laptop, iPad or iPhone purchase.

If a dry cloth does not leave stains and smudges on the screen to remove, then get yourself two leaves and a dilute solution of dishwashing soap and warm water. (I use Dawn dish soap and a drop of water.)

After removing the dust on the screen with a dry cloth, dip the cloth in his other soap solution, wring it out and wipe the screen gently. Then rinse your cloth with soap, wring it again, and wipe the screen to remove soap residue. Finally, pick up your dry cloth and wipe the screen to remove any trace.
