Spring cleaning in a current you! Simple tips to get you started

It's Spring: time for all things new and improved. The flowers are blooming and birds are singing! Is not it beautiful? But wait - right? We tend to forget that we are. Well as a spring cleaning and decontamination In the winter months can be so hard on our body and mind when we sat in for days waiting to happen the cold. Sometimes it leads to obesity, depression, and slow!

Here are my tips detox favorite to a newer, fresher back briefly:

  • Drink more water! Try to make at least half your body weight in ounces of water. If you weigh over 120 pounds, aim for at least 60 ounces per day.
  • Take up a new hobby such as yoga. Yoga has been shown to clear your mind and cleanse the body.
  • Say goodbye to caffeine, nicotine or alcohol. These "drugs" can take a toll on your body and your mental health.
  • Sweat! Aim for at least 30 minutes of cardio a day, even if it is just walking.
  • Out! Go outside and breathe in the fresh air. This has been shown to boost your mood and improve body function.
  • Cut out processed foods. Try fresh vegetables, fruits, lean protein and complex carbohydrates.
  • Get enough sleep. Aim for at least seven to eight hours per night. Sleep allows the body to renew at a cellular level!
  • De-stress with a spa bath. Add some Epsom salt and lavender oil in a bath with candlelight and relax.
  • Get a massage! Massage has been proven to rid the body of toxins and help the ghost. And it feels good!
