During foreclosure, most of us had to clean and clean our homes ourselves. And while we can do well to keep it hygienic, there are places that are often overlooked and overlooked. These can become a breeding ground for germs and bacteria. We'll show you how to clean eight of these hidden hotspots in your home.

Kitchen countertop

The kitchen counter is dirty with spilled food and liquids, dust, dirt and bacteria, which are spread by cutting raw meat, fruit or vegetables. Wash the counter daily with warm soapy water for routine cleaning. Disinfect by spraying a 70% isopropyl alcohol solution and let it rest for five minutes. Rinse with water and pat dry.

Sponge plate

The sponge used to clean used utensils contains a maximum of germs and bacteria. Clean the sponge with water and disinfect it daily by immersing it in distilled white vinegar or lemon juice. Alternatively, you can heat the damp sponge in the microwave for at least two minutes daily. Change the sponge every month.

Kitchen and bathroom fittings

Kitchen and bathroom fittings are contaminated if used after handling raw meat or touching dirty hands. Use soapy water to clean the taps regularly. Disinfect the taps with a soft cloth dampened with diluted vinegar.

Handles and switches

Small areas such as door handles, kitchen handles, knobs and discharge switches carry a lot of germs because many users touch them with dirty hands. Use a microfiber cloth dampened with a universal cleaner to clean all handles and switches twice a week.

Shower area

A combination of soap, foam, body oils and dead skin cells contaminate the shower during bathing. If stagnant water remains, it becomes fertile soil for mold, mildew and bacteria. Your routine cleaning should include drying and cleaning the shower after each use. Disinfect this area by spraying an equal amount of vinegar solution and warm water. Let rest for 15 minutes, followed by a dry cloth.

remote control

The TV remote control is also used by several users and is also played during a snack. As a result, many bacteria and other pathogens can thrive on its surface. For cleaning, remove the batteries from the remote control and wipe them with a damp cloth dampened with equal parts of isopropyl alcohol and water.

Toothbrush holder

Although toothbrushes are used to keep teeth clean, they are generally moist because there are many bacteria in them. In addition, bacteria in the air in the bathroom tend to stick to toothbrushes. Therefore, the brush holder should be washed twice a week with warm soapy water. The brush must be changed every two months.

carpet

A mat is a dust magnet that attracts dead skin cells, food, pollen and dander. When we walk on the carpet, our movement brings germs to the surface. Vacuum the carpet at least once or twice a week depending on how often you use it. Have the carpet cleaned with steam once a year by the professionals.
