Although vacuum is used to keep our homes spotless, vacuuming is generally overlooked. Since the device stores a lot of dirt, dust and mud, it is important to keep it in perfect condition. Remember that all the dirt that accumulates in the machine can clog the machine, reduce suction, and even cause it to overheat. Follow these steps to thoroughly clean the various components of the device.

Dust catcher

Read the operating instructions and separate the dust container from the vacuum cleaner. Empty the cartridge or remove the replaceable bag. Now wipe the inside of the dust container with a dry microfiber cloth, wash it in warm soapy water and use a toothbrush to remove dirt that has accumulated over a certain period of time. Dry the cartridge thoroughly to avoid mold or mold growth.

Filtered out

Consult the manufacturer's instructions and find out whether the filter should be washed or replaced. Note that the replaceable bag in a vacuum cleaner works like a filter, while a vacuum cleaner without a bag contains a foam filter that can be washed. High quality vacuum cleaners have a HEPA filter (High Efficiency Particulate Air) that cannot be washed, but may need to be replaced.

Squeeze the washable foam filter to remove all dust, place it under warm water until it's clean, and let it dry. Change the bag.

Suction hose

Dirt and dirt can accumulate in the hose and cause blockages, which can impair the suction performance of the vacuum cleaner. While cleaning, remove the hose, bring it into the shower area and let hot water run through the hose to remove dirt and debris. Sprinkle half a cup of baking soda into the tub, then add 2 cups of white vinegar to kill all the bacteria. Let the vinegar stay in the tube until the chemical reaction stops and no longer bubbles. Now rinse the hose with warm water and let it dry completely.

brush

Check the brushes in a vacuum as a lot of hair, foreign bodies and wires can get caught in the brush. As a result, bristles can be difficult to remove dirt from the carpet. Manually cut off any tangled hair and hair, but don't cut them off. Clean all brushes with warm soapy water and dry them.

Accessories for vacuum cleaners

The removable parts of the vacuum cleaner and accessories are easy to clean. Use a hot soapy water solution and a cleaning brush to clean all accessories. After cleaning, allow the accessories to dry properly before replacing them.
