Tik Tok beat up the divorced mother, who cleaned tombstones for therapy and became an internet star

One woman who was painfully divorced found solace cleaning the tombstone and has become an online sensation.

Licia Williams, a Virginia woman, found a break from her troubles by rescuing the tombstones of those who rested in peace and has amassed a TikTok following of more than 1.1 million subscribers since October.

"I was in the middle of an extremely difficult divorce and had to prepare to split custody of my children from Virginia to Florida."

Williams explains to her online audience her obsession with tomb ornament. "I needed a therapeutic outlet."

The home social media mega-star wowed viewers with her clean-up trip to Bedford, Longwood Cemetery, Virginia.

Each minute-long clip begins with a photo of a dirt-covered tombstone that usually belongs to the deceased from the 1900s, although some were not made until the 1990s.

As he cleans up decades of dirt and pollen, Williams offers a brief biography of the deceased while the sounds of his cleaning and brushing serve as background noises.

"My first cleaning was with my aunt Hattie, my great-grandmother's sister," Williams explains in a November video.

"She was buried alone. His family rests elsewhere. That's what attracted me to her. He died so young.

When not mesmerizing fans with her graveyard swab, Williams provides practical advice for viewers who are also interested in viewing RIP records.

"Other than that, it just takes my time, patience, and attention," he said in his latest educational message.

Williams fully credits her post-divorce emotional recovery to polishing her funeral plan.

"The entire process over the past three years has been a metaphor for my healing from my divorce," he says.
