When will the Reading Council reopen? Here are the answers

Another lock sets the stage for spring cleaning and garbage disposal.

But will the Bracknell and Reading recycling councils be open on the third shutdown?

What can and cannot do because the country is being asked to stay home and only venture out for essential reasons?

Re3, the recycling service that runs Smallmead and Longshot Lane Councils on behalf of Reading, Bracknell and Wokingham District Councils, has confirmed that the sites will not close in the coming weeks.

However, residents can only access the websites with a reservation. This reservation should only be made if absolutely necessary.

Trips to the site are considered essential if residents can no longer safely store their waste at home or if it cannot be safely disposed of via municipal collections.

Visitors are asked to keep a distance of two meters at all times, to arrive within their time window and to reduce contact with employees.

To make a reservation, residents must visit the Re3 website. The recycling centers are open daily from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Those making reservations are asked to cancel in advance if they are no longer able to attend and only make one reservation per week.

You cannot enter without reservation.
