Before cleaning, preheat your oven to remove dirt and debris.

Heating the oven not only loosens dirt, but it also creates condensation as the oven cools. Therefore, make sure to keep the door closed while cooling. Condensation prevents this dirt from re-adhering to the oven doors or walls and makes cleaning easier.

After thoroughly spraying the oven with cleaner, let it sit for at least a few minutes to further loosen food particles and grease. Then wipe the oven with a cloth for less dirty areas. If food remains stuck, you'll probably need something more substantial, like the rough side of a sponge. Between the condensation and the cleaner, the food residue should come off relatively easily with good scrubbing.

When you're finished cleaning, wet a towel and wipe the inside of the oven again with just water. This will help remove any cleaning agent residue.
