CLEANING expert Lynsey Crombie has shared her top tips for drying clothes indoors in winter.
Doing laundry can become a nightmare when the weather takes a turn for the worse. Rain makes outdoor drying impossible on some days and dryers cost a fortune as the cost of living continues to skyrocket.
Lynsey, known on TV as the Clean Queen, is the UK's first clean influencer.
Speaking to Ideal Home, the 43-year-old shared her tips for drying clothes quickly indoors if you don't have a dryer.
The best ? The tricks won't cost you a cent.
curtain rods
If you don't have much space for a clothesline at home, you can hang your clothes on the curtain rod using a hanger.
"One of my favorite drying tips is to put clothes on a hanger and then hang them on the curtain rod with the window open," says Lynsey.
"You'll be surprised at how quickly you can dry clothes this way.
"The clothes also wrinkle less and are much easier to iron."
Using the right type of hanger is essential for your clothes to keep their shape. Therefore, try not to hang T-shirts on trouser hangers.

Own drying room
This tip may be more difficult if you have limited space. However, Lynsey recommends setting up a well-ventilated area to dry clothes.
It could be a guest bedroom, a sunroom or a second bathroom.
"Keep the room well ventilated," he says.
"Open the windows and close the door to allow fresh air to circulate."
Winter sun
If you're really struggling to dry your clothes indoors, there's still hope.
Lynsey recommended making the most of the winter sun by hanging your clothes outside. However, it's worth checking the weather beforehand to make sure it won't rain.
If it's going to rain and you absolutely need to hang your clothes, a waterproof mat will do the trick.
Simply hang it over clothes to be dried to prevent moisture from penetrating.
