In fact, a 2023 study by Plumbworld found that 79% of British homeowners would clean the room at least once a week and almost a quarter would spray it daily.
The bathroom accessories retailer also revealed that women wash more often than men: 84% say they clean the bathroom at least once a week.

Luckily, one woman has revealed a clever trick that she says will keep your bathroom smelling divine for weeks.
Like many life hacks, this clever life hack was originally shared on Tiktok and was originally uploaded by Donna Mendoza, aka The Cleaning Lady .
Instead of buying expensive products, the savvy influencer uses a common household item already in her closet: a laundry detergent pod.
As shown in the short clip, take a pod and gently mix it with warm water to aid decomposition.

Then, further crush the capsule with a fork before pouring the mixture into the toilet brush holder (yes, it's that easy).
Best of all, excess water can be poured down the toilet to keep it clean and improve the scent of your bathroom.
In the caption, Donna claimed that she used this trick to: "...keep your bathroom smelling fresh for weeks."
This is not surprising since detergent pods break down dirt left in the bathroom just as they would on clothes.
You can even create an antibacterial version, as some cleaners contain ingredients that kill germs, saving you another cleaning task.
However, there's another reason we're obsessed with this trick: the cost.
Given that Tesco currently stocks a pack of 51 Fairy liquid capsules for £12, that means you'd only spend 2p on the trick (depending on the price per capsule).
That wasn't the only cleaning tip Donna shared for a fresh-smelling home, as the content creator also shared how she put together a "sink prep device" to freshen up her home.
By mixing a capful of all-round cleaner, scented dishwashing liquid and warm water, the influencer cleans her doors with it.
