A cleaning expert shared his favorite way to remove stubborn stains.
They said their tips would even remove grease from a load of dirty laundry .

Several Redditors chimed in with their own foolproof tips for the perfect load of laundry.
One trick in particular stood out, and at just $5, it won't break the bank.

ShoddyHedgehog, another Redditor, chimed in with some laundry tips of his own.
"If you have a grease stain that you've already washed and dried, you can try Dawn dish soap," one person wrote.
Dawn Dish Soap is available at Target for $5.69.
"I saw it on Instagram and had some doubts," the Redditor added.

"But my son had a sweatshirt that he loved. It got greasy and he didn't notice until he put it in the washing machine and dried it."
The father said he resorted to other measures before starting the soap opera Dawn.
"We tried Shout several times but were unsuccessful," they said.
"I applied Dawn to the stain, scrubbed it gently with a damp toothbrush and then left it on for 24 hours.
"I threw it in the washing machine, hung it up to dry and the stain was gone."
The Redditor only added regret for learning the laundry tip.
"I'm annoyed by all the clothes I've thrown away over the years because they had grease stains on them."
Laundry overload
Several Redditors commented on the hack and shared their opinions on using Dawn.
"I don't even buy stain removers anymore, I just use Dawn," wrote one.
The other neat freak gave step-by-step instructions on how to use Dawn on stubborn stains on clothes.

"Scrub the stain with a toothbrush, Dawn. And water and throw it in the washing machine," they added.
"Nine times out of ten, the stain will disappear."
