Spring cleaning: How to remove winter salt from your car

After an endless winter, spring finally arrived ... finally. For many car fans across the country, it's time for the spring cleaning.

As part of its "Drive + Protect" series, AMMO Auto Care, Inc. has released in detail how you can clean your car with every gram of salt after the winter months. For those who do not live in a snowy climate with salty roads , we envy you.

Host Larry Kosilla describes the 10-step process. It is a complex process that requires a lot of willpower and time.

Start by cleaning the interior of the car and removing the mats from the floor. Now is the time to suck thoroughly, starting from the back and forward. This includes seating and requires special attention for the driver's area, which collects the most dirt and grime.

Then it's time to clean the board with a microfiber cloth. The steering wheel receives the same treatment because it is a reservoir for many germs and bacteria. Our host even uses an inside brush on the steering wheel, switches / buttons and cupholders "always unpleasant".

The pedals come next. Spray and clean with the microfibre cloth.

If your seats are dirty, spray them with the cleaner of your choice (of course this video contains AMMO products), clean them with a scouring pad and then sponge them with the microfiber cloth. It is best to do this as a last step in cleaning the interior so you do not sit on the wet seats and stain them more with your jeans.

Continue to the outside, first clean the tools of your last year and then fill your bucket with a mixture of water and detergent.

Start under the hood, where you first have to remove the chopsticks and clean them by hand. Then cover all sensitive components of the engine, such as the generator, and gently rinse the engine. Clean the engine and dirty cracks with a brush and soap, then rinse.

Remember, this is not your average detail . To really rid the car of salt, remove the tires and wheels to wash the wheel arches and rub the components of the suspension. While the car is blocked, this is also the perfect time to clean the landing gear to clean all debris and of course the extra salt. This may require a brush, and our very complete host says it is secretly the most satisfying part of every detail. We think it's a bit weird, but in a good way.

Now it's on the tires. Apply the front and rear cleaner, then clean the front first as the back is dirtier and takes longer to soak. Rub her around and inspect the tires like you.

Now rinse the car and dip the color with a foaming cleaner mixed with Ammo Boost. Soak the landing gear with the same mixture. Fill your bucket with the mixture, rinse the car, and then wash the car with a glove or microfiber cloth. Rinse, and it should be done. Of course, our nut host is not made, and he continues the sound of the car to eliminate the juice.

Dry the car with a microfiber cloth.

At this point you might think that you had finished, and most of us would be. However, our friendly dealer is not. It continues to install various other products that help inhibit oxidation, lubricate the hinges, facilitate the plastic and freshen the rubber seals. It also uses AMMO Reflex (in two layers) and AMMO Skin to protect the paint and thoroughly clean the already clean windows.

Our host calls this a 10-step process. It looks more like 50.
