5 important washing tips for everyone who leaves the house

Whether you want to go to the job of your dreams or college, there will undoubtedly be a time when a young man leaves home for the first time. All of these little things like cooking, cleaning and of course paying those boring bills are often taken for granted when you live at home. But when are you moving? It's time to learn how the world works and become an adult! It is known that one task in particular has completely confused young people and has probably led to many items of clothing over the years: laundry.

While the washing machine may be a mystery to some people, it is quite easy to use and after reading these tips, you need to do your laundry quickly and easily.

Do not throw it in the washing machine

Sorting your clothes into different batteries is extremely important before washing! If not done correctly, some garments may shrink, change color, or not be thoroughly cleaned. It is better to wash white clothes separately from dark and colored clothes. In fact, your favorite red shirt may bleed a little if you wash your shirt with white buttons and turn it into a lovely shade of pink.

Likewise, special wool or silk clothes should not be mixed with cotton clothing. Delicate fabrics should be washed with a softer and colder wash and can be unbearable when washed in a normal environment like shirts, underwear and jeans. Towels and bed linen should also be washed separately as they should be at a high temperature to remove dirt and germs that can accumulate. Repeated washing can take a long time, but it is better to buy new items because the clothes are wrong .

Try the options to save time

If you don't know where to put the liquid detergent or the amount of washing powder, it may be better to use pads. These little inventions mean that you can put one in the drum of the washing machine, then topple the laundry and start the washing cycle. Sometimes called slices instead of hats or pads, every young person can be happy and call himself a real laundry expert if he has nothing to measure.

Treat stains as soon as possible

As with a college job, it's always better to take care of the jobs right away so you can relax later. Getting something like blood, toothpaste, or Bolognese sauce are examples of things that should be treated beforehand with a commercially available stain remover or even a liquid detergent and then washed quickly so that the stain does not become hard. Before drying, make sure that the stain has disappeared after washing, otherwise it will be difficult to remove.

Check the element tag for help

Do you know these little labels on the back of your clothes? Here you will not only learn which direction your shirt is facing, but also how you can best clean and dry it. The right temperature when it can be put in a dryer, and even if the garment can be ironed, all the information is on the clothing label. It can even happen that certain items of clothing can only be dry-cleaned and ruined when they approach a washing machine.

Do last minute checks before washing.

Before you turn on the washing machine, do some clothing checks to prevent your clothes from being ruined. This includes:

  • Undo all buttons on your shirts and jeans
  • Close all zippers and attach hooks and Velcro straps.
  • Look into all pockets (coins, bills and cell phones were accidentally washed)
  • Unpack all of your socks and unwind your wrists
  • Put delicate lingerie in a washable mesh bag
  • Make sure that no color element accidentally gets into a white area

I just hope that the next time you have to wash your clothes, you won't find any surprises like this !
