Retail store, garage closed due to cleaning for fear of COVID-19

A recent exposure to COVID-19 on the Kelowna Boardwalk, coupled with an increase in the number of confirmed cases, has raised concerns across the city.

Castanet has received extensive advice on possible COVID-19 incidents. At least one store in Orchard Park Mall has been closed for a day and a half due to concerns that an incident has occurred in a retail store.

Castanet contacted Garage, a youth clothing retailer, at Orchard Park Mall for comment.

A manager who refused to be identified said the shop closed on Monday and underwent a thorough cleaning, and the store owners had received approval from the Ministry of Health to open its doors.

"Because of the suspicion, we brought professional COVID cleaners into our shop and disinfected the entire shop. We were closed for a day and a half."

The manager said he was not concerned about his personal safety or the safety of employees and customers. and we have cleaning logs after every transaction. ""

The manager asked us to speak to the garage center for more details. We have contacted you but have not yet received an answer.
