Mom reveals the exact four-step process to cleaning your oven and her simple trick to keeping it sparkling longer

A mom known for sharing handy house hacks shared the exact four-step process she uses to clean her oven and the simple trick that keeps it sparkling clean for months.

Chantel Mila, from Melbourne , said her fans regularly ask her for advice on how to clean and maintain their ovens this way, and she always recommends a simple solution.

"Here's the trick to cleaning your oven and how to keep it cleaner longer," he wrote on Instagram .

'Bunnings has all the items you need to get it clean and sparkling clean.'

The first thing Chantel said was to mix one cup of Glitz baking soda with a third cup of Glitz dish soap.

You can buy a pound of Bunnings Glitz cleaning soda for just $8.75, while two liters of dishwashing liquid is only $9.99 at the same store.

"Apply this to your oven and let the mixture sit for about two hours to soften the baked fat," says Chantel.

Once that's done, consider using an Oates Scraper Blade ($6.99) to "gently remove baked-on dirt."

"This scraper blade is great for cutting through stubborn dirt with ease and can be used on glass and tile throughout the home," said Chantel.

Afterwards, the mother-of-two said all she had to do was wipe up "excess mixture" and "finish off by lining her oven with a soffito oven liner."

That's $19.99 for a pack of 20.

The reason they work is because "any mess falls onto the dishwasher safe liner for easy washing".

This will prevent your oven from getting covered in oil, dirt and grime.

The four-step process for a frothy oven revealed

1. Mix 1 cup Glitz Baking Soda Cleaner with 1/3 cup Glitz Dishwashing Liquid.

2. Apply this to your oven and let the mixture sit for about two hours to soften the baked fat.

3. Use an Oates Scraper Blade ($6.99) to "gently remove baked-on dirt."

4. Wipe off any "overmixture" and "finish your oven with a sofrito " oven liner, this will help trap future cooking grease.

Thousands of people who watched the simple video were blown away and said they were inspired to clean their own homes.

"I'll try that tomorrow," wrote one person.

"Very helpful, thanks," added another person.

In another video, Chantel showed how to clean dirty oven racks by placing them in the bathroom.

"Cover the tub with a towel and submerge the oven racks in very hot water," he said.

Chantel then dissolves a tablespoon of laundry detergent in water and pours this mixture onto the oven racks in the tub.

Then all you have to do is soak the grates overnight and clean them in the morning.
