Globeius says its hot-tip drinker cleaner can quickly and safely put sprues and sprues back into production operation. Hot stack inlets and clogged nozzle tips are critical components that require care during maintenance and repair and are expensive to replace. Globeius offers a safe way to remove these clogs, which in some cases can be done without removing the mold from the press.
The Hot Tip Sprue Cleaner is a flexible handheld device for melting thermoplastics from clogged sprues and nozzles. Users pull the trigger and within 10 seconds the powerful heater increases the peak temperature to 350°C (662°F), melting the clog.
The Hot Tip Drinker Cleaner features a timed shut-off feature to protect against overheating and also features three differently configured copper tips depending on the application; a flexible arm; and a 2.5 m (over 8 ft) cord for easy access to clogged nozzle tips and cores. Traditional methods of melting frozen plastic in gantries, including acetylene torches, are less safe and effective, Globeius said in a statement.
The Globeius Sprue Gripper features a tip that is heated to 350°C to quickly melt any plastic that might clog a tip.
