Using products you already use to remove stains isn't the only way to save money when buying clothes.
The best way to save money is to switch from washing with hot water to cold water, as hot water uses a lot of electricity and will cause your utility bills to skyrocket.
You can also reduce the amount of detergent you use per wash cycle, as one to two tablespoons is enough to clean your clothes and laundry. This way you don't have to buy detergent as often.
Replacing fabric softener with white vinegar is another good option, as you can purchase a 2-liter bottle of white vinegar at the grocery store for $1.70. Then all you have to do is add half a cup of vinegar to the fabric softener compartment to keep clothes and towels soft.
