The TikTok housekeeper , known as Donna, regularly gives viewers tips on cleaning their homes as well as great before and after videos.

In a recent video posted on the social media platform, Donna said that people should not use a sponge mop to clean their floors as it can leave dirt behind.

She said: "Another customer who only used a sponge mop. I told him that the sponge was just pushing the dirt around. She didn't pick it up. »

He recommended viewers mop the floors with a bristle mop before using an O-Cedar mop with a rotating microfiber head.

The cleaner explained that her customer was "impressed" with the results of this cleaning method, adding: "She didn't say it was no wonder her children's socks were always black."

In the video, Donna showed brown water as she emptied the bucket, showing the amount of dirt that was kicked up from the ground.

The floor also seemed much brighter than before, in contrast to the almost gray tiles that were covered in dirt and grime.

He explained that he had to "do at least 10 flushes until the water ran clear."

Many appreciated her advice, with one person writing: "Some of us have simply never been taught and are doing the best we can. I'm glad you told her the right way so she knows now."

Another added: "10 rinses! Wow! This really shows the importance of why we scrub our floors in the first place."
