Friends of friends travel miles to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the show

BOSTON - A contextual experience celebrating the 25th anniversary of the popular TV show "Friends" was launched on Fenway on Thursday. More than 50 original accessories for shows and products, from clothes to kitchen utensils, brought fans from the northeast to the event and offered many opportunities for taking pictures.

The fans sat in Joey's and Chandler's loungers, took note of Monica's cleaning instructions, and wrote their favorite quotes on a record machine. Next to the exit was a replica of the legendary Central Perk, while a small bakery in the bakeries of Somerville, Union Square Donuts and Finesse Pastries across the street sold desserts with themes from friends. to save

"The One With The Pop-Up" looked like a museum, with accessories protected behind showcases, screens showing famous scenes in a loop, and a huge graphic chronology depicting the love relationships of the six characters around the world traced ten races of the season.

Guests were greeted with a "Welcome! Could you be more excited?" And a few questions from Joanna Chen, a 27-year-old employee.

Other employees helped the fans with photo pages and camera pictures nearby. Fans can place their number and emails on a screen and the photos are sent automatically.

The pop-up window was organized by Superfly, a company that designs "shared experiences" in collaboration with Warner Bros. The group decided to host a second edition of the pop-up window in Boston from 7 to 7 after the success in downtown New York September 6th

Laura Wishner, 46, was taken to the surprise event by her friend after Wishner was unable to secure tickets for New York, her home country.

"I grew up with this program and had to watch it 100 times," said Wishner. "Sometimes I look at five episodes a day and even fall asleep!"

Alex Kohlman, 22, worked for pop-up in New York and Boston. He said that his job was primarily to inspire and entertain the guests.

"We see many younger children, ages 11 to 12, who are happy to be here," he said. "You would not expect them to appear in the '90s, but a child almost falls into a case of screaming," My God, he's a science boy! "I think Netflix gave 'Friends' a second life."

The pop-up window is in Boston until January 5, 2020. Fans are invited to try Moisture Creator for a unique Thanksgiving dinner next Thursday during a version of the Friendsgiving pop-up window. Special events are also held on New Year's Eve and New Year, but the ticket price is higher in the three days.
