Blood stains are becoming increasingly difficult to remove from white or light materials. So what do you do when blood runs on your favorite white jeans?

The INTIMA team said, "The purple-red splatters can be easily removed with a little hydrogen peroxide or lemon juice.

"In fact, both work well with most types of dyes.

"However, they can cause the color to fade if not watched closely, so it's best to use them only for lighting."

You only need to soak the fabric in a sink with cold water for half an hour.

The experts said, "Add a few dashes of hydrogen peroxide or the juice of a lemon.

"Leave it on for another 30 minutes, then wring out the fabric and throw it in the machine for a cold wash."

If the blood stain is older and drier, you can still remove it.

The experts explained: "Yes, old and dry stains can also be removed with a little knowledge.

"A little more complicated than the previous steps, you'll need an unusual meat tenderizer to loosen these stains.

"Meat tenderizer breaks down fibers in the blood and is widely used in health food stores."

However, if you can't find a meat tenderizer, a little vinegar will do!

Vinegar contains acetic acid and works by softening the blood fibers.

Experts said, "Soak the fabric in cold water for an hour and then rub a generous amount of fabric softener over the stain.

"If you're using vinegar, put the stain in a container with one part vinegar and one part water.

"Leave the fabric on for 30 minutes, then shake off or rinse off any excess material.

"Go through the washing machine on a cold wash and see how close it is to your hand!"

If you have a blood stain on colored or patterned fabric, it can be easily removed with salt and cold water.

The experts explained, "Mix one part water with one part salt until it is thick.

"Soak the stain in cold water and clean the stain with an old toothbrush with your salt scrub.

"Stains require limited effort to remove and any residue can be easily removed by turning it in the washing machine."

If nothing works, baking soda is your last resort and it will definitely destroy the stain.

The experts said, "Baking soda is a wonder ingredient; It can be used to whiten teeth, soothe insect bites, deodorize the litter box, and even remove blood stains!

"Just mix two parts baking soda with one part cold water and wipe off the stain.

"Let it sit for 30 minutes or until it dries, then scrape off the excess with that old toothbrush.

"Now throw it in the typewriter and say 'Cya later' on those annoying points."
