Tips to keep your home safe during COVID-19

I keep hearing the words, "Well, it's 2020." These words have become a mantra to describe that strange moment of "protection in place" and "social distancing". In the past nine months, the style of our homes has changed. Our houses were shelters at the end of the day to gather around the table and living room before we had to "end the night". Our homes are a little different now; they are offices, classrooms, workplaces, and now full-time shrines.
But how can we protect our homes when we venture into confusion and return to the sanctuaries of our home as COVID restrictions continue to relax?
Here are some tips from someone who devoted their career to hospitality and professional cleaning.
Wash your hands We can take inspiration from the medical field, or for those of us who have only seen it on TV, doctors are constantly washing our hands. And everyone who sees it understands what is going on. In the course of our daily lives we catch pathogens, bacteria and viruses, some of which are threatening and some of which are not. Washing our hands restores our own cleanliness. So take the signal when you enter your house wash your hands.
Take off your shoes at the door. The soles of our shoes come into contact with the worst that our world has to offer. And we track equipment everywhere from shops to our cars to our homes. Simply taking off your shoes at the door ensures that hitchhikers we catch on the street won't get past our homes.
Reconsider your daily wallet (or wallet or briefcase or backpack). The bag goes with you, as do your hands and everything you touch, wherever you go. But unlike your hands, we don't wash our bags with antibacterial soap every day. So hang the bag on the door to make sure that any gear you pick up during the day stays in the bag and out of your home.
Change your clothes. When you come home from work or a run and use the same logic as your hands, shoes and your everyday bag, hit reset your wardrobe. Throw the old one in the basket and start clean clothes for the rest of the day.
Disinfect the most affected areas daily. A great way to ensure a home is free of external pathogens is to clean all of the affected surfaces on a daily basis: knobs, faucets, handrails, light switches, refrigerator doors, and door handles. Drawer, remote controls, and gaming equipment - this list could be much longer.
Clean your personal belongings. Also think about all the little things you deal with on a daily basis, such as: B. Your smartphone, car keys, credit cards and other items in your daily wallet and purse. Clean these items daily, clean them daily.
Wash bed linen and towels more often. If someone in your home is sick, wash the towels and sheets every day, otherwise once a week is enough.
Professional disinfection. Contact a professional cleaning staff every month to clean and sanitize your home or business. Running a clean home or business requires two things: make smart and intuitive decisions to minimize your home's exposure, and then encourage the professionals to dance regularly.
