Clutter and Hoarding - Get some rest first before tidying up, organizing, and cleaning up

For some reason, this form of divination is seldom researched. I guess people thought ice and snow weren't very good for prophecy. I created all of the methods described here myself.

Freshly fallen snow can be used like sand in geomancy. Animals will leave their tracks in the snow and these tracks will be legible. You can also take a stick and drill random holes in the snow and then use the rules of geomancy to interpret the result.

Take home a handful of snow and let it melt on a clean, flat surface. Look what was in the snow. Small "contaminants" like ash, insects, seeds and plant particles will always be present. There's always a chance you'll find something surprising in the snow, from lost gold rings to dog poop.

Ice cubes can be used for divination in a number of ways.

Melting ice cubes and snow form pools of water. Interpret the shape of the pool.

Take as many ice cubes as there are answers to your question, assign an answer to each cube, and let it melt. The cube that melts first is the answer to your question.

You can also write the answers or an oracle symbol on strips of paper, roll each strip into a ball, and place each in its own hole in an ice cube tray, freeze, and then melt. You can also let these ice cubes melt and take the answer from the first to melt or put the ice cubes in a bowl and choose one.

Notice that the strips get wet. Use sturdy paper such as wax paper and a waterproof pen.

These can also be used as a gift or trick, such as fortune cookies.

You can also use small charms, e.g. B. for Christmas pudding, lucky cake or Scandinavian Christmas porridge. Take a series of small objects and assign each one a guessing meaning. In porridge, almonds are usually used, but a small apple for health, a small coin for money, a ring for marriage, a heart for love, and so on. Use your imagination. Finding a bit of charm in your drink can be more fun than a wet strip of paper.

You can also hide small objects in snowballs, select one and let it melt so you can see what you have. And simple "yes or no" guessing is done by hiding something black (or whatever color you prefer) for "no" and something white for "yes". For this type of divination, stones are generally used. Using rocks, you don't have to wait for the snow to melt, you can break the snowball with your hands right away and reveal the answer. You can also use the "witch oracle" stones or hide runes in the snowballs.
