Skin Care Tips for Fall: Simple Tips and Secret Recipes for a Smooth, Radiant Look ...

A change of season is always tough on the skin. Beauty expert Shahnaz Husain reveals her secrets to keep your skin smooth and radiant during this time.

The skin is affected by seasonal changes and different weather conditions. Winter is about to knock on our door and there will be a lack of moisture in the air. In fact, moisture is the most important thing for the skin. Helps keep the skin soft and smooth. Seasonal changes and a lack of humidity affect the skin and dry it out.

Moisturize your skin to keep it soft

Moisture plays an important protective role in skin care, locking in natural moisture and preventing moisture loss. The skin absorbs moisture in the form of an oil-water emulsion. Therefore, the only way to solve the problem is to apply moisturizers daily to replenish the moisture loss. Even dry skin must be cared for with rich creams on a daily basis so that the skin receives emollients and can better store moisture.

Moisturizers are available in liquid and creamy forms. During the dry season for normal to dry skin, use a creamy moisturizer to apply after cleansing and toning. It should also be applied under makeup. A liquid moisturizer can be used at night after cleaning and caring for the skin.

Avoid soap if you have dry skin

If the skin is very dry, avoid using soap . Instead, use a cleanser mornings and evenings. In addition to daily cleaning, it cares for the skin. As a home remedy, you can try applying some sesame oil (up to) and dabbing the skin with a warm, damp towel. Or you can apply some milk with a few drops of honey, leave it on for 10 to 15 minutes and rinse it off with water. These treatments are particularly suitable for normal to dry skin.

Oily skin? Beware of surface dryness

Oily skin can retain moisture better than normal or dry skin. But oily skin can also lack moisture. This happens during the dry winter season when the outermost layer of skin is superficially dry. You can tell by the tension and discomfort immediately after washing. Small, white scales may also appear on some areas of the skin. Strong moisturizers shouldn't be applied to oily skin as oil clogs pores and can lead to blackheads , open pores, and even pimples. A light moisturizing lotion can be applied during the drying time.

A few tips just for you

Here are some tips for taking care of your skin as the season changes and winter approaches.

  • If you have oily skin, add 1 teaspoon of pure glycerin to 50 ml of rose water. Pour into a bottle and shake well. Apply this to the face. This moisturizes the skin without making it greasy.
  • Apply honey daily to dry skin and rinse off with clean water after 20 minutes. For dry skin, you can also mix half a teaspoon of honey, a teaspoon of rose water and a teaspoon of powdered milk. Mix into a paste and apply on the face. Wash off after 20 minutes.
  • Milk is another cooking ingredient that is available in every household. It contains proteins, fats, vitamins and minerals. Relieves dryness, nourishes and softens the skin.
  • Yogurt also cares for the skin. Restores the skin's pH balance. Applied to the skin, it soothes dryness and eliminates tanning. Take 2 teaspoons of yogurt and add a pinch of turmeric to it. Mix and apply to face. Wash off after 20 minutes. Turmeric is a natural antiseptic and has anti-inflammatory properties.
  • Mash a banana and add some rose water. Apply to face and rinse after 20 minutes. The banana moisturizes, nourishes and firms the skin, while the rose water tones and hydrates.

In fact, as the season changes, look no further than your kitchen shelf for your beauty needs!
