Georgia School Principal: COVID-19 Is 'God's Cleanup Plan'

Regrettable: School teachers in Georgia and other teachers across the country are in dire straits due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Georgian lawmaker Rep. Beth Moore has set up an anonymous inbox for Georgia whistleblowers to report "tips, photos and videos about unsafe conditions in Georgia schools."

11 Living Reports :

The US state representative Beth Moore has so far announced that she has received more than 200 whistleblower emails from affected teachers and students across Georgia who are in school or about to start the coronavirus pandemic.

Atlanta Journal Constitutional Reports :

After photos of exposed students at a Paulding County high school went viral, Rep Beth Moore had an idea.

The Peachtree Corners Democrat created an anonymous inbox - reportmyschool@gmail.com - for tips, photos, and videos from whistleblowers about unsafe conditions in Georgia schools.

She says she was overwhelmed and "overwhelmed" by the response: hundreds of messages in the past two days.

A particularly disturbing message came from a teacher who has been confirmed to work in a school district in North Georgia:

I expect 27 students in my small classroom. They don't make the masks mandatory. My manager jokes with people that this is "God's Purification Plan".

Another message says:

Our superintendent seems to take his nose and close his eyes, hoping for the best approach. We don't have a backup plan.

Another bed:

Every class I teach has between 30 and 31 students ... we start on Thursdays and there is no way to socially distance ourselves from so many children in a class.

And another one :

I have a colleague who decided to come into the building today even though she tested positive for Covid last week. I couldn't sleep last night because I'm scared of exposure today.

Noting that the majority of complaints concerned students who did not wear masks and did not have adequate cleaning supplies, Rep. Moore stated:

I have had a lot of emails from teachers and schools telling them that they can only quit if they don't like the conditions in the schools.

In addition, Moore said, "He also received emails from Cherokee County students claiming they were bullied for trying to wear a mask."

Cherokee County responded with the following statement :

(We) have received no reports of bullying because of the masks. If a student has been harassed for any reason, he or his parents should report it to the school administration so they can fix it quickly. We also offer students, parents and staff the ability to report safety concerns, including bullying, through our SafeSchools alert system , which also allows anonymous reporting.

Bottom Line: School teachers in Georgia and other teachers across the country are in intolerable situations due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
