I spoke to Helen Robinson at Euro Car Parts for her best tips on cleaning your car. . .
Preparation: Helen says, "You need a garden hose, a bucket of hot, soapy water, a soft sponge to clean the car, a microfiber cloth to dab on the excess water. Water and a wire brush to clean the wheels."
My advice: The Hilka Pro-Craft 4 car wash kit is £ 9.99 at Screwfix, the 6-piece Auto Drive car wash kit is £ 8 at Asda.

Scrub the Right Way: Helen says, "First, flush the car up and down with the hose. Next, use your bucket of soapy water and a sponge to scrub the car. Regular homemade soaps are not recommended. Use a car shampoo instead. ""
My advice: a liter of Halford car wash and wax costs £ 4, but eurocarparts.com has a liter of Simoniz shampoo and wax for just £ 2.69.

Wheely good: Helen says: "Take a sturdy wire brush and scrub the wheel. For a more thorough cleaning of light alloy wheels, you can also purchase a special wheel cleaner. ""
My advice: A liter of Carplan Demon Wheels is £ 7.39 at eurocarparts.com, but you can buy it at The Range and B & M for £ 4.50.

Glass Law: Helen says, "After the car is dry, you can clean the window. This should not be done with household glass cleaners as they often contain ammonia, which can damage the interior of the car. ""
My advice: a bottle of Turtle Wax Dash & Glass Interior Cleaner (500ml) is £ 7 at Halfords, but to save money, try Wilko Dashboard Shine (£ 2.25) and Window Cleaner (also £ 2, £ 25).
