  1. Pay attention to the fine details: If you have a beard and/or mustache, make sure they aren't sparse and unkempt. Check your ears and nose for unruly strands of hair. If you are clean-shaven, try to look clean and clean-shaven. Going on a date in a 5 o'clock shade doesn't look good and isn't something every man can pull off. Don't neglect your hair either. Regardless of the length of your hair, you should make sure that it is well groomed and trimmed. Don't cut your hair at the last minute. Visit a hairdresser a week before a big date as this will help the hairstyle sit in the right shape. If you have long hair and it is not always possible to keep it neat, choose a head accessory that can become a part of your personality. If you love hair products, don't overdo it and use just the right amount for a shiny look. Not all men enjoy having their eyebrows contoured, but having a professional do it is perfectly acceptable.
  2. Don't take your hygiene for granted: Good hygiene shows that you're someone who takes care of themselves, and this can be a hugely attractive trait. Manicured nails are the be-all and end-all. Keep them trimmed, filed and cleaned underneath daily. Make sure your feet are dry when you put on a new pair of socks. Fresh breath and clean teeth are a must, as are well-groomed shoes and clothes. Use an antifungal foot and armpit powder. Every little positive detail makes a big difference not only in how you look but also in how you feel. Finally, choose a cologne that is your signature scent and don't overdo it. A quick hot shower and a good moisturizer will also add a natural glow that's hard to miss.
  3. Be comfortable with who you are: A person who is comfortable with who they are can easily make a good impression. An original approach to clothing, a basic understanding of the style that suits your personality is very important. Never overdress or underdress for a date, but wear something that suits the occasion and still has its own distinctive personality at all times. Even if the occasion is casual and you want to wear shorts and a t-shirt, make sure these basics are also stylish and represent you well. Don't try to be someone you are not. It's important to be the best version of yourself, but pretending to be someone you're not will end up being exhausting.
  4. Be considerate and caring: It 's important to show your date what kind of person you are. This means not monopolizing a conversation while on a date, not staring at your phone compulsively, not being rude to servers, and being respectful and considerate. Before you plan a date, you need to know whether your partner will be comfortable in the chosen place, what food or atmosphere he likes. If you prefer quieter places or a lively atmosphere with loud music. If she likes books or art, why not think outside the box and treat her to an afternoon at a bookstore, book café or art gallery? Don't buy gifts just because you have to, buy something that will make them happy. It's important to understand what your partner likes and who they are as a person. If she likes adventures, take her on a bowling date or plan a walk or hike. Buy flowers or plants if she prefers them, and these little touches will obviously make her feel like you're making an effort to get to know her. After all, building a relationship goes beyond Valentine's Day and is based on your holistic approach to life.
  5. Cultivate a worldview and a sense of humor: Nothing is more impressive than a circling mind that is open minded and has an interesting worldview. It is important to know and be well informed about the world we live in. Being a good conversationalist is a huge benefit for anyone but especially someone who is in a relationship or looking to get into one. Making that special someone laugh is another superpower. A healthy sense of humor can bond couples for life because laughter brings people together, melts ice and makes people feel comfortable together.
