Page Gray, owner of FilterClean, says not keeping up with cleaning can be costly, especially during Arizona's monsoon season. "It costs you something and the last thing you want to see is a green pool," he said.
During the stormy monsoon months, some basic tasks are essential for pool health. The first is to clean the pool of leaves and other debris that might fall into it. Second, you need to make sure your pool chemicals are set correctly.
"The monsoon can cause water flooding. That's why you should definitely test the scale," says Gray.
Finally, pool filters are part of the last line of defense to keep your pool clean. "Pool filters are unsung heroes. They're the ones who work hard, taking the debris and picking it up," Gray said.
